Camila Proto

Camila Proto (Porto Alegre, 1996) is an artist and researcher. Bachelor of Visual Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Master of the Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts of UFRGS in the line of History, Theory and Criticism, is currently a doctoral student in Visual Arts in the line of Visual Languages by the PPGAV-EBA of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Her artistic research enters the fabulatory and speculative universe to deal with the crossings between art, science and philosophy. She works with different media in the approximation of ?what can? the word, the image and the sound. She participates in the Research Group on Semiotics and Communication Cultures (GPESC-UFRGS), in the research line SemSono - Semiotics and Sonorities, and in SOMA-Som nas Artes (UFF).

Camila Proto (Porto Alegre, 1996) é artista e pesquisadora. Bacharel em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Mestra pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais da UFRGS na linha de História, Teoria e Critica, é atualmente doutoranda em Artes Visuais na linha de Linguagens Visuais pelo PPGAV-EBA da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Sua pesquisa artística adentra o universo fabulatório e especulativo para lidar com os atravessamentos entre arte, ciência e filosofia. Trabalha com diversas mídias na aproximação do que pode a palavra, a imagem e o som. Traduziu o livro "Agência Sônica: Som e Formas Emergentes de Resistência", de Brandon Labelle, publicado em junho de 2022 pela Numa Editora (RJ). É pesquisadora ativa do Grupo de Pesquisa em Semiótica e Culturas da Comunicação (GPESC-UFRGS), na linha de pesquisa SemSono - Semiótica e Sonoridades, e do SOMA - Som nas Artes (UFF).
