Possui doutorado pelo Programa de Pós Graduação em Saneamento, Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - PPG SMARH/UFMG (CAPES 7), atuando na linha de recuperação de nutrientes de efluentes líquidos via precipitação química de estruvita utilizando fontes reagentes alternativas. Bacharel em Química Industrial pela Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto - UFOP (2007) e Mestre pelo Programa de Pós Graduação em Engenharia Química da UFMG (2010). É coordenador do curso de Engenharia Ambiental e Sanitária e professor adjunto do Departamento de Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora, responsável pela área de planejamento, gestão e tratamento de resíduos sólidos e correlatas; e tratamento de dados ambientais.
