Janaína de Freitas Nascimento

Graduada em Biomedicina pela Universidade Federal do Pernambuco-UFPE com mestrado em Genética pela mesma instituição e doutorado em Bioquímica pela University of Cambridge (UK). Atualmente é International Training Fellow do Wellcome Trust (UK) baseada no Departamento de Parasitologia da Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Atua nas áreas de Biologia Molecular, Genética e Bioquímica, com especial interesse em elucidação dos mecanismos de regulação da expressão gênica em tripanossomas.

Janaina holds a Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE - Brazil), a Master's degree in Genetics from the same institution, and a Doctorate in Biochemistry from the University of Cambridge (UK). Presently, is an International Training Fellow from the Wellcome Trust (UK), stationed at the Department of Parasitology at the University of São Paulo (USP - Brazil). Janaina's research expertise spans the fields of Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Biochemistry, with a particular focus on elucidating the regulatory mechanisms of gene expression in trypanosomes.
