Andrea Mara Iwaki Motta

18 years of experience leading international cooperation programs and projects in both private and public sectors, dedicating the past 7 years to the area of science, technology, innovation and education. Currently Director of the UK-Brazil Tech Hub, a British Government initiative in Brazil implemented by the UK Embassy, previously conducted strategic partnerships for innovation programs such as StartUp Brasil (Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications, executed by Softex) and Startups and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development (SEED - Government of Minas Gerais) and led national and international relations for innovation institutions, startups, the Organization of American States, the Institute for the Study of International Migration, the Institute of International Finance and the Government of the State of Minas Gerais, where coordinated the International Advisory of the Secretariat for Science, Technology and Higher Education (2013-2015). Lecturer on "Innovation and Funding Management: Startups, Research and Development" in the post-graduate course in Internationalisation: cities and companies at PUC Minas. PhD Candidate in International Relations at the Institute of International Relations of the Sao Paulo University (IRI - USP), Master of Arts in Latin American Studies concentrating in Government - Georgetown University, Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service (2012), Diploma in International Business - University of California Berkeley (2008), Diploma in History and Political Cultures - Federal University of Minas Gerais (2007), Bachelor in International Relations - Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (2005).

Andrea tem 18 anos de experiência em relações internacionais e programas públicos e privados de inovação. Atualmente Diretora do UK-Brazil Tech Hub, programa do Governo Britânico executado através da Embaixada do Reino Unido no Brasil, foi responsável por parcerias estratégicas de programas de desenvolvimento de startups e ecossistemas como StartUp Brasil (Ministério de Ciência e Tecnologia e Softex), Startups and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development (SEED - Governo de Minas Gerais) e Órbi Conecta. Foi Assessora de Parcerias Internacionais da Secretaria de Ciência e Tecnologia do Governo de Minas Gerais e Coordenadora de Promoção de Exportações da InvestSP. Leciona "Gestão e Captação de Recursos para a Inovação: Startups, Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento" no curso de pós-graduação em Internacionalização: empresas e cidades da PUC Minas. Doutoranda em Relações Internacionais pelo Instituto de Relações Internacionais da Universidade de São Paulo (IRI - USP), Mestre em Estudos Latinoamericanos com concentração em Governo - Georgetown University, Edmund A.
