Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the ISGlobal Programme on Childhood & Environment working on the role of the urban exposome in child development as part of two European H2020 projects: LifeCycle and EUCAN-Connect. She is analyzing data from more than 125,000 European children to shed light on the influence of urban green spaces exposures on child health and development. Amanda joined the Belo Horizonte Observatory for Urban Health (OSUBH) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil to study urban health and evaluate the impact of a community-based program in low-income neighbourhoods for her M.Sc (2015 - CAPES). In her doctoral work, Amanda Fernandes studied how daily mobility affects the assessment of environmental effects on health as a part of her internship at INSERM in Paris (2018 - CAPES) with Dr Basile Chaix. She returned to INSERM as a postdoc fellow on the MINDMAP study (2019). Amanda studied Sport Sciences at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, where she graduated with a diploma in 2013 (PROUNI).
