Rolf Matias Paninka

Bachelor Degree in BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES USP (2001) Coursework: Characterization of P.americana amylase. Professor of Physical and Biological Sciences of the City of São Paulo, 2002 to 2012. Meanwhile completed two postgraduate programs: Forest Management Systems by UFLA (2006). Coursework: Environmental perception of teachers from two schools in the city of São Paulo and Sugarcane Industrial Management (2010) UFSCAR. Coursework: Clarification of sugarcane juice by ozonation, an alternative to the traditional method. Seeking new horizons, I quit my teacher's job and in 2012 began Masters in the Laboratory of Molecular Endocrinology and Translational (UNIFESP - EPM) performing functional study of mutation in Kir2.6 potassium channel, linked to the disease Thyrotoxic Periodic Paralysis. Since 2014 I'm enrolled in PhD studding ion channels in Structural and Functional Neurobiology Laboratory oriented by Prof. Manoel Arcisio-Miranda. Besides Kir channels I'm also have studied Hv1 proton channels.

Com Bacharel e Licenciatura em CIÊNCIAS BIOLÓGICAS pela Universidade de São Paulo (2001), fui Professor de Ciências Físicas e Biológicas da Prefeitura Municipal de São Paulo (PMSP) entre 2002 e 2012. Durante esse período, concluí duas pós-graduações latu sensu: Gestão e Manejo de Sistemas Florestais pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (2006); e MTA em Gestão Industrial Sucroenergética (2010) UFSCAR. Buscando novos horizontes, me desliguei da Prefeitura em 2012 e iniciei Mestrado no Laboratório de Endocrinologia Molecular e Translacional (UNIFESP - EPM) realizando estudo funcional de mutação em canal de potássio Kir2.6, ligado à doença Paralisia Periódica Tirotóxica. Em 2014 iniciei meu doutoramento no Laboratório de Neurobiologia Estrutural e Funcional (UNIFESP - EPM), sob orientação do prof. Manoel de Arcisio Miranda Filho, onde mantive a mesma linha de pesquisa, estudando canais Kir da família 2.x utilizando técnicas de biologia molecular, eletrofisiologia (patch-clamp) e microscopia ótica e confocal. Atualmente trabalho como Perito Criminal do Estado de São Paulo.
