IVAN CARLOS FRANCO

Graduation at Engenharia Química from Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (2003); Master in Chemical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2006) in the area of chemical process development by School of Chemical Engineering (UNICAMP); Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the School of Chemical Engineering (UNICAMP) and MBA in Project Management (UNICAMP). Currently, I am Professor in the FEI University; research at the Control and Automation Laboratory of the School of Chemical Engineering (UNICAMP); Scientific Director in International Society of Automation - Section Campinas-BR and Adjunct Associate Editor in the Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences. Experience in Polymeric Reactors, Processes Modeling and Simulation and Control and Process Automation. I have a lot of experience in the following topics: controlled free radical polymerization, OPC Communication, PLC, industrial refrigeration, IA (fuzzy lógic, neuro-fuzzy and neural network artificial), System Identification, Process Control and Automation and Industrial Instrumentation.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Química pela Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná - UNIOESTE (2003); Mestrado em Engenharia Química na área de desenvolvimento de processos químicos pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas DPQ/FEQ/UNICAMP (2007); Capacitação em Gerenciamento de Projetos pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (2008) e Doutorado em Engenharia Química pela Faculdade de Engenharia Química da Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP (2012). Atuou de 2012 a 2019 como pesquisador colaborador no LCAP-Laboratório de Controle e Automação de Processos (DESQ/FEQ/UNICAMP), de 2014 a 2015 como Professor Doutor I MS3.1 na Faculdade de Engenharia de Alimentos da UNICAMP, 2019 como Professor Convidado no IMT-Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia e de 2019 a 2022 como Diretor Científico da International Society of Automation (ISA), seção Campinas. Atualmente é Professor Adjunto A no Centro Universitário da FEI e Editor-in- Chief do Journal of Engineering and Exact Sciences. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Química, com ênfase em Modelagem e Simulação e Controle e Automação, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: refrigeração industrial, IA (lógica fuzzy e neuro-fuzzy e redes neurais), Identificação de Sistemas, Controle de processos e instrumentação industrial.
