Juan Pablo Quimbayo Agreda
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Marine Biology, University of São Paulo - Brazil. My current project focus is to define what ecological, biogeographical and anthropogenic drivers influence reef fish assemblages, and how these can vary over time. My academic background includes expertise in animal behavior, community ecology, marine macroecology, conservation, biogeography, functional ecology, population communities, statistical techniques, and the management of large databases using R. I have vast fieldwork experience, having coordinated and organized dozens expeditions for large projects, such as SISBIOTA-Mar and PELD. During the execution of these projects, I worked with the logistics of the expeditions, large databases, data collection on interactions among species, and conservation of reef communities. I am also very familiar to teamwork, research supervising, and spending long periods of time in remote locations under difficult living conditions.
