Pedro Murilo Gonçalves de Freitas

Architect and Urban Designer with Bachelor from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP, 2006), with an academic exchange period at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto (FAUP, 2004-5). He holds a PhD in Architecture, Technology and Urban Design from the University of Campinas (ATC/Unicamp, 2018), developing research visits at the Polytechnic of Turin with a merit-based scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation. He also holds a Master from ATC/Unicamp Program awarded in 2012, which dissertation received an honourable mention at the 2014 Brazilian National Research on Architecture and Urban Design Association Awards (ANPARQ). He is also specialised in Theory and Practice of Preservation and Restoration of Architectural and Urban Heritage by the Catholic University of Santos (Unisantos, 2008) having worked as a Lecturer at the Architecture and Urbanism Course of the Grande ABC University (UniABC, 2012-13). Currently, Pedro is an Associate Professor, level 1, in the chair of Theory and History of Architecture and Urbanism (field area of Theory and Practice of Intervention at Cultural Heritage) in the undergraduation course of Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS), where he teaches since 2018. At UFS, he has collaborated with the Graduation Program of Archeology (PROARQ) from 2018 to 2022. Since 2022, he is member of the UNESCO Chair "Heritage, Cities and Landscapes. Sustainable Management, Conservation, Planning and Design" and is working on a post-doctoral research project as a visiting researcher at the Center of Studies of Architecture and Urbanism (CEAU) at the Heritage of Architecture, City and Territory (PACT) and is an expert member of ICOMOS Internacional - Scientific Committee on Education and Training (ICOMOS/CIF). He is also an UFS representative at the PHI Brazil University Network, a member of ICOMOS Brazil - Documentation Committee and is associated with DOCOMOMO Brazil and ANPARQ. For ANPARQ, he had also represented it at the Entities' Forum for the Defense of Brazilian Cultural Heritage at the State of Sergipe from 2020 to 2022.

Arquiteto e Urbanista, possui graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de São Paulo (FAU-USP, 2006), com realização de intercâmbio acadêmico na Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade do Porto, Portugal (FAUP, 2005). É doutor em Arquitetura, Tecnologia e Cidade pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Pós-ATC/Unicamp, 2018), com realização de período de estágio no exterior (sanduíche) no Politécnico de Turim, Itália. Mestre pela mesma instituição e programa (Pós-ATC/Unicamp, 2012), recebeu menção honrosa na categoria Dissertação do Prêmio ANPARQ 2014. Possui ainda especialização em Teoria e Prática da Preservação e Restauro do Patrimônio Arquitetônico e Urbanístico pela Universidade Católica de Santos (Unisantos, 2008) e atuou como Professor Assistente no Curso de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade do Grande ABC (UniABC, 2012-2013). Atualmente é Professor Adjunto, nível 1, na área de Teoria e História da Arquitetura e Urbanismo (Temática Teoria e Prática da Intervenção no Patrimônio Cultural) do curso de graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS), onde leciona desde 2018. Na UFS, colaborou no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Arqueologia (PROARQ) de 2018 a 2022. Desde 2022 colabora junto à Cátedra UNESCO "Património, Cidades e Paisagens. Gestão Sustentável, Conservação, Planeamento e Projeto" e realiza estágio de pós-doutorado enquanto investigador visitante no Centro de Estudos de Arquitetura e Urbanismo (CEAU), no âmbito do Grupo de Pesquisa Património da Arquitetura, da Cidade e do Território (PACT), e é membro especialista do ICOMOS Internacional - Comitê Científico de Educação e Treinamento (ICOMOS/CIF). É também representante da UFS na Rede PHI Brasil, membro do ICOMOS Brasil - Conselho Científico de Documentação e associado ao DOCOMOMO Brasil e à ANPARQ. Pela ANPARQ, foi ainda seu representante estadual no Fórum de Entidades em Defesa do Patrimônio Cultural Brasileiro / Sergipe de 2020 a 2022.
