Eric Hermanny
Experimental physicist in the field of Nanomagnetism. PhD in Condensed Matter Physics at the Brazilian Center for Research in Physics (CBPF) and MSc in Nanotechnology at PUC-Rio. Investigates magnetization dynamics and spin currents in hybrid thin-film structures of metallic and insulating ferromagnetic materials, and the transport of spins across interfaces with nonmagnetic materials. Practice in the fabrication of YIG thin films, in magnetron sputtering deposition, and in the characterization of magnetic samples using X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, alternating field gradient magnetometry, vibrating sample magnetometry, broadband ferromagnetic resonance and electrical detection of spin currents via spin-orbit coupling effects (inverse spin Hall, inverse Rashba-Edesltein and anomalous spin Hall effects).
