Prof. Dr. Marco Aurelio Zezzi Arruda

He has a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Methodist University of Piracicaba (1987), a master's degree in Nuclear Energy in Agriculture from the Nuclear Energy in Agriculture Center (1990), a doctorate in Advanced Analytical Chemistry from the University of Cordoba (1995) and a post-doctorate in the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture by the Nuclear Energy in Agriculture Center (1995-1996). He participated as a member of the Management Committee of the IQ-Unicamp agreement - Federal Revenue of the Port of Santos between 2004-2005 and 2008-2009. He was a member of the Management Committee of the IQ-Unicamp Analytical Center between 2002-2004 and 2008-2010. He served as Head of the Analytical Chemistry Department at IQ-Unicamp between 2013-2015 and 2015-2017. Since 2003 he has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Brazilian Chemical Association - ABQ, and between 2009 - 2019, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Society of Mass Spectrometry - BrMASS. He acted as Director of the Chemistry Institute at the State University of Campinas (2018-2022), and act as Substitute Executive Director of FUNCAMP since May/2022. He is Full Professor of the Analytical Chemistry Department at IQ-Unicamp since 2010, and served as Visiting Visiting Professor at CNRS (Pau, France) and at the University of the Balearic Islands - UIB (Palma, Spain). Awarded with the Award to a career in pioneering science - Proteomass Scientific Society (2015), with the Academic Recognition Award Zeferino Vaz (2016), with the Adison José Curtius medal (2018), with the 2020 Sample Treatment Conference Award - Proteomass Scientific Society (2020), the Inventors Award - 2021 - INOVA, and with the Special Tribute of the 20th ENQA (20th National Meeting of Analytical Chemistry). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and his biography has been published in Who is Who in the World since 2009. He acts in the area of ​​Analytical Chemistry, working mainly on the following themes: bionalitic, sample preparation, atomic and mass spectrometry and mechanization.

Particiou como membro do Comitê Gestor do convênio IQ-Unicamp - Receita Federal do Porto de Santos entre 2004-2005 e 2008-2009. Foi membro da Comissão Gestora da Central Analítica do IQ-Unicamp entre 2002-2004 e 2008-2010. Atuou como Chefe do Dpto de Química Analítica do IQ-Unicamp entre 2013-2015 e 2015-2017. Desde 2003 atua como Membro do Conselho Consultivo da Associação Brasileira de Química - ABQ, e entre 2009 - 2019, atuou como Membro do Conselho Diretor da Sociedade Brasileira de Espectrometria de Massas - BrMASS. Atuou como Diretor do Instituto de Química da Universidade Estadual de Campinas de 2018-2022. Atua como Diretor Executivo Suplente da Fundação da Unicamp - FUNCAMP desde Maio/2022. É Professor Titular do Departamento de Química Analítica do IQ-Unicamp desde 2010, e atuou como Professor Visitante Convidado no CNRS (Pau, França) e na Universidade das Ilhas Baleares - UIB (Palma, Espanha). Agraciado com o Award to a career in pioneering science - Proteomass Scientific Society (2015), com o Prêmio de Reconhecimento Acadêmico Zeferino Vaz (2016), com a medalha Adison José Curtius (2018), com o 2020 Sample Treatment Conference Award - Proteomass Scientific Society (2020), com o Prêmio Inventores - 2021 - INOVA, e com a Homenagem Especial do 20o ENQA (20o Encontro Nacional de Química Analítica). É Fellow da Royal Society of Chemistry, e têm a sua biografia publicada no Who is Who in the World desde 2009. Atua na área de Química Analítica, principalmente nos seguintes temas: bionalítica, preparo de amostras, espectrometria atômica e de massas e mecanização.
