Eduardo Rumenig de Souza

I majored in Physical Education (2006) and Social Science (2018), with a master's degree in Biodynamics of Human Movement (2011) and a PhD in Sociocultural and Behavioral Studies in Physical Education and Sport (2021). I have been working as a researcher since (2011), mainly in the health area, investigating the physiological effects engendered by aerobic physical effort in humans. Since 2017, my subject has been sustainable urban mobility, especially bicycle commuting and social justice. As a member of the Study Group on Anthropology of the City (GEAC-USP), Endurance Sports Research Group (GEDAE), and as a collaborator of the Brazilian Center of Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP), I have developed and guided projects, published papers and book chapters concerning: (i) platform capitalism and bicycle delivery; (ii) electromobility, climate change and health; (iii) bike-sharing economy and sustainable urban mobility; (iv) bicycle commuting and quality of life. I have also developed teaching activities in different levels of education, from elementary school to universities. Therefore, I have expertise in teaching and researching.
