Doutor em "Occupational and Environmental Health/Industrial Hygiene", pelo Hudson College of Public Health (HCOPH), The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC), com bolsa de estudos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES). Graduado em Teologia, pelo Seminário Teológico Robert Reid Kalley (2013), em Educação Física, pela Escola de Educação Física do Exército (2001), e em Ciências Militares pela Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (1997). É oficial de Artilharia do Exército Brasileiro (atualmente em licença), Mestre em Saúde Pública (Saúde, Trabalho e Ambiente), pela Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública Sérgio Arouca (ENSP/FIOCRUZ) e Mestre em Operações Militares, pela Escola de Aperfeiçoamento de Oficiais do Exército Brasileiro (EsAO). Possui, ainda, cursos de Pós-graduação (lato sensu) em Treinamento Desportivo (UFRRJ) e Treinamento Personalizado (UniFMU-SP), e Curso Avançado de Artilharia de Campanha na United States Field Artillery School, no Fort Sill, OK, EUA. Tem experiência na área de Educação Física, com ênfase em Personal Training e Treinamento Desportivo, e em Saúde Pública, com ênfase em Saúde, Trabalho e Ambiente, e Toxicologia dos Metais. Exerceu a função de instrutor no Centro de Preparação de Oficiais da Reserva de São Paulo (CPOR-SP), da Seção de Pós-graduação e do Curso de Artilharia da Escola de Aperfeiçoamento de Oficiais (EsAO), do Exército Brasileiro, no Rio de Janeiro, RJ, além de ter sido Adjunto à Seção de Planejamento daquela Escola (EsAO).

Also has attended Specialization courses (lato sensu, more than 360hours) in Sports Training (UFRRJ) and Personal Training (UniFMU-SP).. Has experience in Physical Education with emphasis in Personal Training and Sports Training.Used to be an instructor at the Brazilian Army Officer Reserve Preparation Center in São Paulo, SP, also at the Artillery Course, at the Post-graduate Section and at the Planning Section of the Brazilian Army Captain's Career School (EsAO), Rio de Janeiro.
