Manuelina Maria Duarte Cândido has a degree in History (UECE, 1997), a specialist in Museology (USP, 2000), a Master's degree in Archaeology (USP, 2004), a PhD in Museology (Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, Portugal, 2012) and undertook a post-doctoral internship in Museology under the supervision of Prof. François Mairesse, at the University Paris III, Sorbonne Nouvelle (France).
She coordinated the Center for Educational Action of the São Paulo Cultural Center, directed the Museum of Image and Sound of Ceará and the Department of Museum Processes of IBRAM.
She is Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Goiás - Bachelor in Museology (licensed) and Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology.
She is visiting professor of Museology at the University of Würzburg, Germany, at the University d'Artois, in France, and at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies, Portugal.
She works at the University of Liège (Belgium), having taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervised theses, dissertations and internships. Her work has also involved university heritage, through the Embarcadère du Savoir and, more recently, the Pôle Muséal et Culturel.
She leads the Study and Research Group Museology and Interdisciplinarity - GEMINTER. She has published books and articles, acts as a professor, researcher and consultant.
She is a member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and of the World Archaelogical Congress (WAC). She was part of the National Commission for Cultural Incentives (CNIC), Heritage Caucus, advising the Ministry of Culture (mandate 2017/2018).
She participates in the Board of the ICOFOM LAC from 2018-2023.
Editor-in-Chief of the journal Les Cahiers de Muséologie since October 2020.

Coordenou o Núcleo de Ação Educativa do Centro Cultural São Paulo, dirigiu o Museu da Imagem e do Som do Ceará e o Depto. de Processos Museais do IBRAM.
É Professora Adjunta da Universidade Federal de Goiás - Bacharelado em Museologia (licenciada) e Programa de Pós-graduação em Antropologia Social.
Professora convidada de Museologia na Universidade de Würzburg, Alemanha, da Universidade d'Artois, na França, e da Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Portugal.
Trabalha na Universidade de Liège (Bélgica), tendo ministrado disciplinas na graduação e na pós-graduação, orientado tese, dissertações e estágios. Sua atuação envolveu ainda o patrimônio universitário, por meio do Embarcadère du Savoir e, mais recentemente, do Pôle Muséal et Culturel.
