Full Professor Maia completed his undergraduate studies in Physics at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA) (1991). Later, he received his geophysics Masters degree (1996), after his doctorate from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (2004) and pos-doc at the UNICAMP (2007-2008). In 2022, he received his degree in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering. He did his postdoctoral internship 2021-2022 at the University of Texas, Arlington with Visiting Professor Abroad Senior Scholarship (PVEX-CAPES) Senior CAPES. Since 1996, he has been professor of the Physics Department. He is leader of Laboratory of Preparation and Computation of Nanomaterials (www.LPCN.ufpa.br), Museum of Science, Technology and Innovation (www.MCTI.ufpa.br) of UFPA. He is interested about Renewable Energies, Solar Cells, Nanoscience, and Nanotechnology. He was coordinator's scholarship of PIBID-CAPES program 01/03/2011 to 01/03/2015.
