Cláudia Naylor Lisbôa

Graduation in Medicine by Fluminense Federal University (1989). After residency in General Surgery, she specialized in Oncology Surgery by the National Cancer Institute of Brazil (INCA), being part of the medical staff of this institution from the completion of its formation to the present day. With interest in Oncology Palliative Care, she has trained in England, more specifically at St. Christopher's Hospice, a world reference in the area, both in medical care and in education and research. Within INCA, she was Director of the Cancer Hospital IV - Palliative Care Unit, from 2002 to 2014, during which time the unit won Accreditation by the Joint Commission, becoming a national reference in palliation. At the beginning of her term, she organized the first International Congress of Palliative Care, when the National Palliative Care Academy (ANCP) was created. Consultant of the Ministry of Health since 2002, she participated in the elaboration of ordinances, guidelines, as well as meetings for the organization of services in Brazil. She worked at the IAEA / WHO as a consultant for Oncology Surgery and Palliative Care, working with the agency in middle and low income countries, and continues to participate in education actions in Palliative Care in Brazil, Latin America and Africa. With a Master's degree from UNICAMP, Fellowship in the area of ​​Oncology by the Eisenhower Fellowships Program USA, is currently a PhD student at COPPEAD / UFRJ.

Após residência em Cirurgia Geral, especializou-se em Cirurgia Oncológica pelo Instituto Nacional de Câncer do Brasil (INCA), fazendo parte da equipe médica desta instituição desde a conclusão de sua formação até os dias de hoje. Com interesse em Cuidados Paliativos Oncológicos, fez seu treinamento na Inglaterra, mais especificamente no St. Christopher's Hospice, uma referência mundial na área, tanto em assistência médico-clínica, quanto em educação e pesquisa. No INCA, foi Diretora do Hospital de Câncer IV - Unidade de Cuidados Paliativos, de 2002 a 2014, período em que a unidade ganhou a Certificação de Acreditação pela Joint Commission, tornando-se referência nacional em paliação. No início de seu mandato, ela organizou o primeiro Congresso Internacional de Cuidados Paliativos, quando a Academia Nacional de Cuidados Paliativos (ANCP) foi criada. Consultora do Ministério da Saúde desde 2002, participou da elaboração de portarias, diretrizes e reuniões para organização de serviços no Brasil. Trabalhou na IAEA / OMS como consultora de Cirurgia Oncológica e Cuidados Paliativos, trabalhando com a agência em países de média e baixa renda, e continua participando de ações de educação em Cuidados Paliativos no Brasil, América Latina e África. Com mestrado pela UNICAMP, Fellowship na área de Oncologia pelo Eisenhower Fellowships Program USA, atualmente é aluna de doutorado no COPPEAD / UFRJ.
