Larissa Longano de Barcellos

Anthropologist specialised in Amazonian indigenous societies. M.Sc degree in Environmental Governance (University of Freiburg, Germany, 2020), and master's degree in Anthropology (Universidade Federal Fluminense, 2015). Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (University of São Paulo, 2012). She is a member of the Research Group on Ethnology, Linguistics and Indigenous Health - ETNOLINSI (CNPq). She participated in the project The Whole Life Academy Berlin at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (2021-2022). She worked as an assistant to the provenance and restitution research project of the Alexander Ecker collection, which is now under the care of the museum of the University of Freiburg (ACT/DZK, 2021). She was a member of the Freiburg Local Committee of the International Forestry Students' Association (IFSA, 2017-2019) and, as such, was a youth delegate at international events, including the 24th Meeting of the UN FAO's Committee on Forests (COFO 24). She has experience in nature conservation and community forest management projects in both Southeast Asia and the Amazon, in scientific and cultural mediation, in organizing photography exhibitions, and in translation and interpretation (French/Portuguese and English/Portuguese). She is also interested in the fields of Visual Anthropology and Linguistic Anthropology.

Antropóloga com foco de atuação na Amazônia ocidental e ênfase em etnologia indígena. Mestre em Governança Ambiental pela Universidade de Freiburg, Alemanha (2020), e em Antropologia pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (2015). Bacharel em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade de São Paulo (2012). É membro do Grupo de Pesquisa em Etnologia, Linguística e Saúde Indígena - ETNOLINSI (CNPq). Participou do projeto The Whole Life Academy Berlin da Haus der Kulturen der Welt (2021-2022). Foi assistente do projeto de pesquisa de proveniência e restituição da coleção Alexander Ecker, que se encontra no museu da Universidade de Freiburg (ACT/DZK, 2021). Foi membro do Comitê Local de Freiburg da International Forestry Students' Association (IFSA, 2017-2019), através do qual integrou a delegação da juventude em eventos internacionais, incluindo a 24a Reunião do Comitê de Florestas (COFO 24) da FAO da ONU. Possui experiência em projetos de conservação da natureza e manejo florestal comunitário, tanto no sudeste asiático quanto na Amazônia, em mediação científica e cultural, em organização de exposições fotográficas e em tradução e interpretação (Francês/Português e Inglês/Português). Tem interesse nas áreas de Antropologia Visual e Antropologia Lingüística.
