Erikson Felipe Furtado

Erikson Felipe Furtado Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Division of Psychiatry, Department of Neuroscience and Behavioral Sciences FMRP (Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto) USP (University of São Paulo), Campus of Ribeirão Preto. He graduated in Medicine at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1984), with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Institute of Psychiatry UFRJ (1986). He earned his doctorate in Germany, at the University of Heidelberg (1993), with a scholarship from CNPq, in Medicine in the area of ​​Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Martin H. Schmidt. He was a post-doc researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from 1993 to 1994, with a grant from CNPq. He developed a post-doctoral study in the area of ​​Alcohol and Drugs at the Central Institute of Mental Health, Mannheim, Germany, from 2000 to 2001, with a grant from FAPESP. He is the coordinator of the Area Mental Health and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the FMRP-USP. He is the principal investigator and coordinator of NPCP / PAIPAD - Center for Research in Psychiatry and Clinical Psychopathology / Program of Integrated Actions for the Prevention and Attention to Alcohol and Drugs in the Community, FMRP-USP. With funding from the WHO developed the project PAI-PAD/OMS for implementation and dissemination of Brief Interventions for alcohol and drugs. With funding from FAPESP and CNPq studies developed for the protocol development of brief interventions for use in pregnant women. He has lines of research on the topics: intrauterine exposure to alcohol and drugs and developmental psychopathology through longitudinal projects involving mental health of pregnant and postpartum women, and children of addicts. He is a lecturer and adviser of the post-graduate programs in Mental Health at FMRP-USP (CAPES 7) and Toxicology at FCFRP-USP (CAPES 5), having completed so far, eight orientations of doctoral thesis, thirteen Master dissertations, three supervisions of postdoctoral researchers and 20 undergraduates in the scientific initiation program, mostly with research grants from funding agencies. He is the adviser of currently (2018), three doctoral students, four masters students and two undergraduate students.Has cooperation with the World Health Organization, with the Pan American Health Organization and international partnerships in the USA, UK and Germany. He is a member of the editorial board and reviewer for several national and international scientific journals. He is a member of the Brazilian participation in the program Treatnet II UNODC - United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime. He is a invited member of the GDG - WHO Guidelines Development Group for alcohol and drugs during pregnancy.

Erikson Felipe Furtado é professor (MS-3) de Psiquiatria da Infância e Adolescência, da Divisão de Psiquiatria do Departamento de Neurociências e Ciências do Comportamento da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo, desde 1995. Graduou-se em Medicina pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1984), com especialização em Psiquiatria e Psicoterapia da Infância e Adolescência pelo Instituto de Psiquiatria da UFRJ (1986). Obteve seu título de doutorado na Alemanha, pela Universidade de Heidelberg (1993), com bolsa do CNPq, em Medicina na área de Psiquiatria Infanto-Juvenil, sob orientação do Prof. Dr. Martin H. Schmidt. Foi pesquisador pós-doutor do Instituto de Psiquiatria da UFRJ de 1993 a 1994, com bolsa RD do CNPq. Fez pós-doutoramento na área de Álcool e Drogas, no Central Institute of Mental Health-Mannheim, Alemanha, de 2000 a 2001, com bolsa FAPESP. É coordenador da Área de Saúde Mental e Psiquiatria da Infância e Adolescência. É pesquisador principal e coordenador do NPCP/PAIPAD - Núcleo de Pesquisa em Psiquiatria Clínica e Psicopatologia/Programa de Ações Integradas para Prevenção e Atenção ao Uso de Álcool e Drogas na Comunidade, da FMRP-USP. Com recursos da OMS desenvolveu o projeto PAI-PAD/OMS para implementação e disseminação das Intervenções Breves para álcool e drogas. Com recursos da FAPESP e CNPq desenvolveu estudos para o desenvolvimento de protocolo de intervenções breves para aplicação em gestantes. Tem linhas de pesquisa sobre os temas: exposição intra-uterina a álcool e drogas e psicopatologia do desenvolvimento, através de projetos longitudinais, envolvendo saúde mental da gestante e puérpera, e dos filhos de farmacodependentes. É professor e orientador de pós-graduação do Programa de Saúde Mental da FMRP-USP (CAPES 7), tendo concluído até o presente, oito orientações de doutorado, e treze orientações de mestrado, a maioria com bolsas de agências de pesquisa. Orienta atualmente (2018), três alunos de doutorado e quatro alunos de mestrado. Tem atuado como membro de corpo editorial e revisor em revistas científicas nacionais e internacionais. Fez parte do GDG - Guidelines Development Group da Organização Mundial da Saúde para consumo de álcool e drogas na gestação. É membro do comitê científico da Global FASD ( Global Alliance for FASD).
