Giovanni Esteves Ferreira

Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy (2013) and Master in Rehabilitation Sciences at The Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (2016). Giovanni Ferreira is a member of the Brazilian Association of Orthopedic Physiotherapy (ABRAFITO) and currently holds the position of scientific director at the South Committee of ABRAFITO (2015-2017). Giovanni is also an associate researcher at the Study Group of Orthopedic Physiotherapy (http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/0046514083571637). His main areas of interest are the development of randomized controlled trials aimed to determine the efficacy and effectiveness of non-surgical management strategies for low back pain and neck pain. Giovanni is experienced in the conduction of systematic review of randomized controlled trials and meta-regression.

Graduação em Fisioterapia pela Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre (2013), Mestre em Ciências da Reabilitação pela Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre (2016). Pesquisador do Grupo de Estudos em Fisioterapia Traumato-ortopédica (GEFiTO), na UFCSPA, desenvolvendo estudos clínicos na linha de coluna vertebral, cervical e lombar, visando a determinar a eficácia e efetividade de tratamentos não-cirúrgicos para estas condições entre 2011 e 2017. Atualmente, é aluno de doutorado na Sydney Medical School, School of Public Health, The University of Sydney (Austrália).
