Maíra Zenun Almada de Oliveira

Doutora em Sociologia pela Universidade Federal de Goiás, com a tese "A Cidade e o Cinema [Negro]: o caso FESPACO" (2019), sobre o maior e mais antigo festival de cinema que acontece em África. Desde que começou esta pesquisa sobre a produção audiovisual realizada por pessoas negras, tem tido a oportunidade de trabalhar com profissionais de diferentes lugares; atuando em produções sobre representatividade negra, metodologias contra-coloniais, migração forçada, fronteiras inventadas e poéticas anti racistas. Possui publicações e participação em eventos nas áreas de Educação, Ciências Sociais/Humanas, Cinema, Fotografia, Arte-Educação, Artes Visuais, Mostras de Cinema e Performance. Cursou o Master em Fotografia Artística pelo IPCI entre 2020/2022, com o trabalho final de fotografia híbrida e performance intitulado "Aula de História". É co-criadora do Coletivo Nêga Filmes, onde desenvolve projetos transdisciplinares em cinema, fotografia, educação, poesia e performance. Educadora, videografista, produtora cultural, fotógrafa e poeta desde a infância. É Bacharel em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e Mestre em Sociologia pela Universidade de Brasília. Mantém trabalho autoral, com imagens (estáticas e em movimento) e textos poéticos expostos em coleções privadas, publicações impressas e blogs virtuais. Leciona Sociologia/Antropologia para o Ensino Básico e Superior, desde 2007. Possui formação continuada em Ciências Sociais, Artes Fílmicas e Fotográficas. Em Lisboa, atua como artista visual, programadora cultural e videografista - com ênfase em fotografia, câmera, edição e montagem. Entre 2010 e 2015, participou do TRANSE/UnB - Núcleo Transdisciplinar de Estudos sobre a Performance, como investigadora e produtora de imagens . Entre 2015 e 2019, colaborou com o FICINE - Fórum Itinerante de Cinema Negro. No ano de 2015, realizou com a Profa. Dra. Catarina Alves Costa, estágio sanduíche (PDSE/CAPES), e esteve vinculada ao Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia (CRIA), na Universidade Nova de Lisboa. em 2017, foi uma das duas artistas selecionadas pelo prêmio lisboa capital ibero-americana de cultura, para uma residência no lavadouro público de carnide, pelo teatro do silêncio. é co-fundadora da nêga filmes que, em lisboa, coordena e faz a curadoria da mostra internacional de cinema na cova. Em 2018, participou com a performance a terra tremeu dentro de mim e eu fiquei sem casa no primeiro festival-feminista de lisboa; e em 2019, na segunda edição do festival, mediou o workshop cinema de/para/com mulheres negras. também neste ano, esteve no FESTIVAL TODOS com o ensaio fotográfico caminhos percorridos com carinho. Em 2020, passou a integrar como pesquisadora convidada, do projeto memórias que vêm das palavras: olhares museológicos para as literaturas de mulheres negras, da Universidade Federal do Pará; e do grupo Memória, Arte e Alteridade, da Universidade Federal do Tocantins. Em 2020, teve publicados os ensaios boa sessão de cinema negro, Portugal, pelo Cadernos Micar 2020; e Feliz, cidade, Félicité? - ou notas breves sobre um filme anticolonialista pela AFRICANIDADES - Revista do MAFRO. Em 2021, o seu artigo CINEMAS NEGROS: DO RECÔNCAVO À KOVA, foi publicado no livro "Cinema Negro Baiano" pela Editora Emoriô. Também participou da antologia Volta para tua terra: uma antologia antirracista/antifascista de poetas estrangeirxs em Portugal (Ed. Urutau, 2021). Em 2023 passou a integrar como pesquisadora, o MIGRA MEDIA ACTS - MIGRAÇÕES, MEDIA E ATIVISMOS EM LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA: DESCOLONIZAR PAISAGENS MEDIÁTICAS E IMAGINAR FUTUROS ALTERNATIVOS.

PhD in Sociology from the Federal University of Goiás, with the thesis "The City and the [Black] Cinema: the FESPACO case" (2019), about the largest and oldest film festival that takes place in Africa. Since she started this research on audiovisual production carried out by black people, she has had the opportunity to work with professionals from different places; acting in productions about black representation, counter-colonial methodologies, forced migration, invented borders and anti-racist poetics. She has publications and participation in events in the areas of Education, Social Sciences / Humanities, Cinema, Photography, Art Education, Visual Arts, Film Festivals and Performance. She attended the Master in Artistic Photography at IPCI between 2020/2022, with the final work of hybrid photography and performance entitled "Aula de História". She is co-creator of Coletivo Nêga Filmes, where she develops transdisciplinary projects in cinema, photography, education, poetry and performance. She is an educator, videographer, cultural producer, photographer and poet since childhood. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a Master's in Sociology from the University of Brasília. She maintains authorial work, with images (static and in movement) and poetic texts exposed in private collections, printed publications and virtual blogs. She teaches Sociology / Anthropology for Basic and Higher Education, since 2007. She has continuing education in Social Sciences, Filmic and Photographic Arts. In Lisbon, she works as a visual artist, cultural programmer and videographer - with an emphasis on photography, camera, editing and montage. Between 2010 and 2015, she participated in TRANSE / UnB-Núcleo Transdisciplinar de Estudos sobre a Performance, as a researcher and image producer. Between 2015 and 2019, she collaborated with FICINE-Fórum Itinerante de Cinema Negro. In 2015, she performed with Profa. Dr. Catarina Alves Costa, sandwich internship (PDSE/CAPES), and was linked to the Center for Research in Anthropology (CRIA), at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. in 2017, she was one of the two artists selected by the lisbon ibero-american capital of culture award, for a residency at the carnide public washhouse, by the theater of silence. She is co-founder of Nêga Filmes which, in Lisbon, coordinates and curates the international film festival at Cova. In 2018, she participated with the performance the earth trembled inside me and I was homeless at the first feminist-festival in lisbon; and in 2019, in the second edition of the festival, she mediated the cinema workshop from / to / with black women. also this year, she was at FESTIVAL EVERYONE with the photo essay Caminhos traveled with affection. In 2020, she became a guest researcher on the project Memories that come from words: museological looks at the literature of black women, at the Federal University of Pará; and the Memory, Art and Alterity group, from the Federal University of Tocantins. In 2020, she had her essays published by Cadernos Micar 2020; and Happy, city, Félicité? - or brief notes on an anti-colonialist film by AFRICANIDADES - Revista do MAFRO. In 2021, her article CINEMAS NEGROS: DO RECÔNCAVO À KOVA, was published in the book "Cinema Negro Baiano" by Editora Emoriô. She also participated in the anthology Volta para tua terra: an anti-racist / anti-fascist anthology of foreign poets in Portugal (Ed. Urutau, 2021). In 2023 she joined as a researcher, MIGRA MEDIA ACTS-MIGRATION, MEDIA AND ACTIVITY IN PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE: DECOLONIZING MEDIA LANDSCAPES AND IMAGINING ALTERNATIVE FUTURES.
