Lucas Alves Firme Carneiro

Doutorando (CAPES) em História das Ciências e da Saúde (COC - FIOCRUZ). Possui Mestrado em História das Ciências e da Saúde (COC - FIOCRUZ, 2019); Especialização em Ensino de Biologia (Faveni); e Bacharelado em Ciências Biológicas (UNIRIO, 2015). Foi bolsista de Iniciação Científica (PIBIC - CNPq) no Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas (CBPF, 2011-2013). Nos últimos anos, foi responsável pela digitalização do fundo da Associação Internacional de Estudos Langsdorff (AIEL), junto ao Arquivo da Casa de Oswaldo Cruz e com apoio técnico do Arquivo Central do Poder Judiciário do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2018). Tem trabalhado em análises e traduções da parte desse material primário relativa à segunda expedição russa na América do Sul (1914-1915). Seus principais temas de pesquisa são: viagens científicas e coleções entre o final do século XIX e início do XX; relações científicas entre Brasil e Rússia; história das ciências na Rússia; indígenas e etnografia no Brasil (início do século XX).

Master in History of Science and Health (COC - FIOCRUZ, 2019); Specialization in Biology Teaching (Faveni); and Bachelor of Biological Sciences (UNIRIO, 2015). He was a Scientific Initiation student (PIBIC - CNPq) at the Brazilian Center for Physics Research (CBPF, 2011-2013). In recent years, he was responsible for digitazing the fund of the International Association of Langsdorff Studies (AIEL), together with the Casa de Oswaldo Cruz Archive and with technical support from the Central Archive of the Judiciary Power of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2018). He has been working on analyzes and translations of the part of this primary material related to the second Russian expedition in South America (1914-1915). His main research topics are: scientific journeys and collections between the late 19th and early 20th centuries; scientific relations between Brazil and Russia; history of sciences in Russia; indigenous peoples and ethnography in Brazil (early 20th century).
