Paulo Roberto das Dores da Silva

PhD in Sciences from the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos, University of São Paulo (2015). Between 2006 and 2010 Dr. Dores-Silva acquired extensive experience in the field of analytical chemistry during the scientific initiation, highlighting the purification and structural characterization of macro-biomolecules in soil and organic fertilizers. He obtained mastery of techniques such as: ultraviolet in the UV-Vis region, infrared, fluorescence and pyrolysis coupled to mass spectrometry. During his PhD at the University of São Paulo in the area of Biochemistry with emphasis on the production and purification of recombinant proteins, as well as biophysical techniques of structural and functional characterization, among them: circular dichroism (CD) fluorescence, analytical molecular exclusion chromatography, analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC), low-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC). He currently develops postdoctoral studies aiming at obtaining structural and functional data of molecular chaperones of the Hsp70 family, membranes and beta amyloid oligomerization.
