Mary Anne Sampaio de Melo

Mary Anne Melo holds a degree in Dentistry from the University of Fortaleza-UNIFOR (2000), specialization in Restorative Dentistry (2003), master's degree (2009) and doctorate (2012) in Dentistry from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). He completed a doctoral student internship in the USA (University of Maryland) when he was a Fellow / Fulbright Scholar in the period from 08/2011 to April / 2012. It works with models of dental biofilm, techniques of evaluation of demineralization, and techniques of experimental manipulation of adhesive systems and restorative material. He has experience in the area of ​​Dentistry, with emphasis in Dental Clinic, Dentistry and Cariology, working mainly on the following topics: dental caries and approaches for reducing oral biofilms through restorative materials. He is an effective member of the European Organization for Caries Research (ORCA) and International Association for Dental Research (IADR). He is an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals, including: Journal of Biomedical Applications (JBA), Photomedicine and Laser Surgery and Biomedical Engineering Research (BER).

Possui graduação em Odontologia pela Universidade de Fortaleza-UNIFOR(2000), especialização em Dentistica Restauradora (2003) ,mestrado (2009) e doutorado(2012) em Odontologia pela Universidade Federal do Ceara (UFC). Realizou estágio de doutorando sanduíche nos EUA(University of Maryland) quando foi bolsista Capes/Fulbright no periodo de 08/2011a Abril/2012. Trabalha com modelos de biofilme dentario, técnicas de avaliação de desmineralização, e técnicas de manipulação experimental de sistemas adesivos e material restauradores. Tem experiência na área de Odontologia, com ênfase em Clínica Odontológica, Dentística e Cariologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: cárie dent'aria e abordagens para reducao de biofilmes orais atraves de materiais restauradores. 'E membro efetivo da European Organization for Caries Research (ORCA) e International Association for Dental Research (IADR). 'E revisora ad-hoc de varios periodicos, destacando-se: Journal of Biomedical Aplplications (JBA),Photomedicine and Laser Surgery and Biomedical Engineering Research (BER).
