Andrea Regina Nunes de Carvalho

Doctor in Production Engineering (PUC-Rio, 2015) with Master in Production Engineering (PUC-Rio, 2005) and Graduation in Production Engineering (UFRJ, 1995). She has been a researcher at the National Institute of Technology (MCTI) since 1994, working in research, development and implementation of production management technologies in different industrial segments. She has been an invited professor at the Getulio Vargas Foundation in Industrial Management, Production and Quality Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management MBAs since 2005. She also teaches in the postgraduate courses in Lean Production Systems at the Santa Catarina Educacional Society and in Production Planning courses at the Centro de Ensino Empresarial (CEEM). She has experience in Production Engineering, focusing on Operations Management, Production Planning, Scheduling, Operational Research, Mathematical Programming, Optimization under uncertainty and Simulation. Doctor in Production Engineering (PUC-Rio, 2015) with Master's degree (PUC-Rio, 2005) and Graduation (UFRJ, 1995) in the same area. She has been a researcher at the National Institute of Technology (MCTIC) since 1994, working in research, development and implementation of production management technologies in different industrial segments. She was a leader in the development and implementation projects of computer simulators to support production scheduling in several industrial and services organizations. Since 2005, she has been a guest professor of postgraduate and MBA courses at Fundação Getúlio Vargas and the Santa Catarina Educational Society, as well as short courses in Production Planning at other institutions. Her work received the award for Best Doctorate Thesis of 2015 in the area of ​​Production Engineering by ABEPRO - Brazilian Association of Production Engineering. She has worked as a visiting researcher in data-driven optimization to support decision making in industrial contexts at Aalto University School of Science and Technology (Finland). She is currently coordinating a research group focused on the study and development of technology based on Mathematical Programming and Machine Learning techniques. She has experience in Production Engineering, focusing on Operations Management, Production Planning, Production Programming, Mathematical Programming, Uncertainty Optimization and Computer Simulation.

Doutora em Engenharia de Produção (PUC-Rio, 2015) com Mestrado (PUC-Rio, 2005) e Graduação (UFRJ,1995) na mesma área. É pesquisadora do Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia (INT/MCTI), desde 1994, atuando na pesquisa, no desenvolvimento e na implantação de tecnologias de gestão da produção em diferentes segmentos industriais. Atuou como líder em projetos de desenvolvimento e implantação de simuladores computacionais, voltados a apoiar a programação da produção, em diversas empresas de bens e serviços. Desde 2005, é professora convidada de cursos de pós-graduação e MBAs pela Fundação Getúlio Vargas e pela Sociedade Educacional de Santa Catarina, além de cursos de curta-duração na área de Planejamento da Produção em outras instituições. Seu trabalho recebeu o prêmio de Melhor Tese de Doutorado de 2015 na área de Engenharia de Produção pela ABEPRO - Associação Brasileira de Engenharia de Produção. Trabalhou como pesquisadora visitante na área de otimização "data-driven" para apoiar o processo decisório em contextos industriais na Aalto University School of Science and Technology (Finlândia). Atualmente, coordena o Laboratório de Simulação e Otimização de Sistemas Produtivos (LASOS) do INT cujo foco é pesquisa e desenvolvimento de tecnologias baseadas em Simulação, Programação matemática e Aprendizado de Máquina. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia de Produção, com ênfase em Gestão de Operações, Planejamento da Produção, Programação da Produção, Otimização sob incerteza e Simulação Computacional.
