Rafael Alexandre Moreira Mello

Doutorando em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade de Brasília. Mestre em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Graduado em Relações Internacionais e Ciência Política pela University of the Pacific, EUA (2005). Realizou intercâmbio acadêmico na Central University of Hyderabad, Índia, através do CIEE, durante o segundo semestre de 2003. Pesquisador do Núcleo de Estudos Latino-Americanos da UnB. Co-coordenador do Grupo de Trabalho International Relations as a Social Science da British International Studies Association. Áreas de interesse: Teoria Crítica neogramsciana e latino-americana, Teoria Marxista da Dependência, dependência e subdesenvolvimento, cooperação Sul-Sul, BRICS, democracia e subdesenvolvimento, hegemonia e subimperialismo, relação ontologia-epistemologia-teoria-práxis.

Areas of interest: Neo-Gramscian and Latin American Critical Theory; Marxist Dependency Theory; dependency and underdevelopment; South-South Cooperation; BRICS; democracy and underdevelopment; hegemony and sub-imperialism; the relation between ontology, epistemology, theory and praxis.
