Jéssica Verger Nardeli
Auxiliary researcher and R&D Group Leader in Portugal. PhD in Chemistry from the UNESP (São Paulo, Brazil) with internship abroad IST (Lisbon, Portugal) in 2020. Her research objectives are focused in the area of energy storage; novel coatings / self-healing / smart coating for improved performance of metallic parts used in various sectors such as transportation (automotive and aeronautics) and construction (building); electrochemical techniques (global and localized) for the study of corrosion. This strategy aims at valorising metallic materials in conventional and novel applications. She is author of 4 book chapters, 6 books, more than 8 scientific papers published in International journals and above 40 works presented in international and national congresses. Member of the Editorial Board of Atena. Reviewer ~10 scientific periodic. Area: smart materials, energy storage, corrosion coating synthesis, corrosion protection, corrosion inhibitor, organic coatings, self-healing, smart coating, nanotechnology, polyurethane synthesis; characterization of materials, techniques: attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR-ATR), optical microscope (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), adhesion tests, Raman, Contact Angle, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H NMR and 13C NMR), Atomic force microscopy (AFM), thermal analysis (TGA), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), localized impedance spectroscopy (LEIS) and scanning vibrating electrode technique coupled with the scanning ion-selective electrode technique (SVET/SIET).
