María de Paz

María de Paz is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Philosophy of Science, at the University of Seville (Spain). She obtained her PhD in Philosophy by the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and in History and Philosophy of Science by the University of Lisbon (Portugal).She has been visiting fellow at the Max Planck Insitute of the History of Science, the University of Frankfurt and Bochum University. Among her publications are the co-edited volume (with Robert DiSalle) Poincaré, Philosopher of Science. Problems and Perspectives, published by Springer and the single authored book Henri Poincaré: Del Convencionalismo a la Gravitación, published by College Publications. Her current research is focused on the epistemological consequences of the interactions between mathematics and physics in 19th century mechanics.
graduation at Filosofia from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2005) and master's at Filosofia de la Física from Facultad de Filosofia, Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2007). Has experience in Philosophy, acting on the following subjects: conventionalism, philosophy of physics, philosophy of science, history of mathematics and dynamical systems.
