Sajid Farooq

He obtained his Master degree in Physics (2009) and MS nanotechnology from University of Punjab (2012). He received his PhD degree at the Department of Electronics and Systems at PPGEE Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) Recife-PE Brazil. Recently, he finished his Postdoctoral fellowship (March, 2018 to March, 2021) at University of Pernambuco (UPE), Recife-PE Brazil. His research topics are: biomedical optics, nanobiophotonics, biomaterials spectroscopy, nanostructures, nanosensors, medical therapy and optical microscopy. He is working to evaluate optical characteristics of nanoscale structures via finite element method. Moreover, He applied optical spectroscopy analysis to evaluate the LSPR sensing and PDT applications. He has experienced to teach Advanced Electromagnetism, Quantum Mechanic, Solid State Physics and Electronics. He is currently working on artificial intelligence via python to optimize nano-fluids for energy applications, as well as for disease diagnosis via FTIR imaging.
