Carlos Augusto Santos de Menezes

Graduated in Medicine in 1982. Completed Medical Residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics (1983), master's degree in MATERNAL AND CHILD CARE from the Federal University of Bahia (2000). He is a professor at the Department of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Human Reproduction at the BAHIA FACULTY OF MEDICINE at UFBa, since 1992. He has been the Teaching and Research Manager at Maternidade Climério de Oliveira/UFBa/EBSERH since November 2018. Leader as principal investigator, the Bahia nucleus of the BRAZILIAN NETWORK OF STUDIES IN REPRODUCTIVE AND PERINATAL HEALTH, participation in multicenter studies in Severe Maternal Morbidity/Near Miss, Prematurity and teaching in Reproductive Health. He was a researcher associated with MUSA (Women/Health and Gender) at the INSTITUTO DE SAÚDE COLETIVA at UFBa, with a study in the area of women's health, abortion and early pregnancy complications. He was professor of Gynecology at ESCOLA BAHIANA DE MEDICINA E SAÚDE PÚBLICA until 1992. He has experience in the area of Medicine, with emphasis on Gynecology, Human Reproduction and Obstetrics

Possui graduação em Medicina em 1982. Concluiu a Residência Médica em Ginecologia e Obstetrícia (1983), mestrado em ASSISTÊNCIA MATERNO INFANTIL pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2000) . É professor do Departamento de Ginecologia, Obstetrícia e Reprodução Humana da FACULDADE DE MEDICINA DA BAHIA da UFBa, desde 1992. É Gerente de Ensino e Pesquisa da Maternidade Climério de Oliveira/UFBa/EBSERH desde novembro de 2018 . Lidera como pesquisador principal, o núcleo da Bahia da REDE BRASILEIRA DE ESTUDOS EM SAÚDE REPRODUTIVA E PERINATAL, participando de estudos multicêntricos em Morbidade materna grave/Near Miss, Prematuridade e ensino em Saúde Reprodutiva. Foi pesquisador associado ao MUSA (Mulher/Saúde e Gênero) do INSTITUTO DE SAÚDE COLETIVA da UFBa com investigações na área de saúde da mulher, aborto e complicações precoces da gravidez. Foi professor de Ginecologia da ESCOLA BAHIANA DE MEDICINA E SAÚDE PÚBLICA até 1992. Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com ênfase em Ginecologia, Reprodução Humana e Obstetrícia
