Alessandra Dias Mendes

Full Degree (2007) and Master (2010) in Physical Education both by the University of Brasília (UnB) with Diploma of Honor from the Fédération Internationale d'Éducation Physique and the IV Prize of Scientific Literature of the Brazilian College of Sports Sciences for the dissertation that was published as an electronic book. In 2017, a PhD in Public Policy Post-Graduate Program with emphasis on Sports Policy from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) under the guidance of Adriano Codato with a 1-year PhD in Visiting Researcher at the School of Sports, Exercise and Health Sciences, Loughborough University in England under the guidance of Barrie Houlihan, which the research was awarded a CAPES scholarship both in Brazil and abroad. Also, one of the 7 women to be part of the 1st Class of the Brazilian Academy of Coaches (2012-2014) in Athletics, in a high-performance sports course for 109 coaches in many sports, funded by the Brazilian Olympic Committee, having completed a new training in 2017, both focused in Athletics. She worked in several fields of Physical Education, with emphasis on: (1) work as a consultant contracted for initial systematization of the 3rd National Sports Conference by the Ministry of Sport; (2) acting as a public servant as Culture and Sport Analyst of the Municipal Secretary of Sport of Goiânia, where she was the Pedagogical Coordinator of the Physical Education area in the Second Time Program by the Sports Department and the Gymnastics Project in the Parks by the Leisure Department; (3) and for the work as Professor of Physical Education in the Education of Young and Adults by the Municipal Education Department of Goiânia. She has experience in higher education in the area of ​​Physical Education by the Open University of Brazil (UAB / UnB) acting in the Orientation of the end of course paper of 12 students. In 2010 she was successful candidate in the competition to work at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Brasília (IFB) working with teaching (middle, higher and post-graduation), research and community-extended activities. In addition, she is the coach of the youth teams of the institution obtaining medals in 4 modalities (Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball and Beach Volleyball). Currently a Director of Research of the Management and Sports Marketing Group of the University of Brasília (GESPORTE / UnB) and editor of the periodicals: Educação e Pesquisa; Educational and Research Reviews; Journal of Physical Education and Sport Management; Physical Education and Sport; Revista Com Ciência; Planejamento e Políticas Públicas; International Journal of Sport Policy and Politics. Possuo Graduação em Licenciatura Plena (2007) e Mestrado (2010) em Educação Física ambos pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Pela dissertação de Mestrado recebi o Diploma de Honra da Fédération Internationale d'Éducation Physique e o IV Prêmio de Literatura Científica do Colégio Brasileiro de Ciências do Esportes, razão pela qual a dissertação foi publicada como livro eletrônico. Conclui em 2017 o Doutorado em Políticas Públicas com ênfase em Política de Esporte pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) sob orientação de Adriano Codato com período de Estágio Doutoral de 1 ano como pesquisadora visitante na School of Sports, Exercise and Health Sciences da Loughborough University na Inglaterra sob orientação de Barrie Houlihan, tendo a pesquisa sido agraciada com bolsa CAPES tanto no Brasil quanto no exterior. Fui uma das 7 mulheres a fazer parte da 1a Turma da Academia Brasileira de Treinadores (2012-2014), num curso de esporte de alto rendimento para 109 treinadores, financiado pelo Comitê Olímpico Brasileiro, tendo realizado uma nova capacitação em 2017, ambas com foco em Atletismo. Atuei em vários campos da Educação Física, com destaque para: (1) o trabalho como consultora contratada para sistematização inicial da 3ª Conferência Nacional de Esporte pelo Ministério do Esporte; (2) atuação enquanto servidora pública como Analista em Cultura e Desporto da Secretaria Municipal de Esporte de Goiânia, na qual fui Coordenadora Pedagógica da área de Educação Física no Programa Segundo Tempo pelo Departamento de Esportes e no Projeto Ginástica nos Parques pelo Departamento de Lazer; (3) e pelo trabalho como Professora de Educação Física no Ensino de Jovens e Adultos pela Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Goiânia. Tenho experiência no ensino superior na área da Educação Física pela Universidade Aberta do Brasil (UAB/UnB) atuando na Orientação do Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso de 12 estudantes. Desde 2010 sou Professora do Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de Brasília (IFB) atuando com ensino (nível médio, superior e pós graduação), pesquisa e extensão. Além disso, como técnica das equipes juvenis da instituição obtendo medalhas em 4 modalidades (Atletismo, Basquetebol, Voleibol e Voleibol de Praia). Atualmente sou Diretora de Pesquisa do Grupo de Gestão e Marketing Esportivo da Universidade de Brasília (GESPORTE/UnB) e revisora dos periódicos: Educação e Pesquisa; Educational and Research Reviews; Journal of Physical Education and Sport Management; Educação Física y Deporte; Revista Com Ciência; Planejamento e Políticas Públicas; International Journal of Sport Policy and Politics.
