André Luis Assunção de Farias

Bacharel e Licenciado em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA, 1999). Especialista em Planejamento e Gestão Pública, Msc. em Planejamento do Desenvolvimento e Dr. em Desenvolvimento Socioambiental (UFPA/NAEA). Secretário Municipal de Meio Ambiente de Belém-Pa (2002), Secretário Municipal de Planejamento e Gestão Parauapebas-Pa (2005) e Secretário de Estado de Integração Regional do Pará (2007). Atualmente é professor efetivo da Universidade Federal do Pará/Núcleo de Meio Ambiente (UFPA/NUMA), pertencente ao Programa de Pós Graduação em Gestão de Recursos Naturais e Desenvolvimento Local na Amazônia - PPGEDAM. Pesquisador CNPq/CAPES, lidera o Grupo de Pesquisa Grandes Projetos na Amazônia- GPA. Tratando dos seguintes temas: Danos e Riscos Socioambientais; Grandes Projetos Urbanos; Justiça Ambiental; Ecologia Política e Racismo Ambiental. Conduz o Programa de Extensão Amazônia em Questão.

Municipal Secretary for the Environment of Belém-Pa (2002), Municipal Secretary of Planning and Management in Parauapebas-Pa (2005) and Secretary of State for Regional Integration of Pará (2007). He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Pará/Núcleo de Meio Ambiente (UFPA/NUMA), belonging to the Postgraduate Program in Management of Natural Resources and Local Development of the Amazon - PPGEDAM. Coordination of the Interdisciplinary Environmental Training Program - PROFIMA. Researcher CNPq/CAPES, he leads the Research Group on Environmental Assessment of Major Projects in the Amazon - GAAGPAM, dealing with the following topics: Socio-environmental Impacts of Major Projects in the Amazon; Urban Socio-environmental Conflicts; State, Culture and Environment. Conducts the Amazon in Question Extension Program.
