ELIZABETH SILAID MUXFELDT

Graduada em Medicina pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1983), Mestre em Medicina (Cardiologia) pela UFRJ (1988) e Doutora em Clínica Médica pela UFRJ (2005). Foi Diretora da Divisão de Pesquisa do Hospital Universitário Clementino Fraga Filho (HUCFF-UFRJ) de julho de 2018 a março de 2020. Médica do Serviço de Clínica Médica do HUCFF, coordenadora do Programa de Hipertensão Arterial Resistente (ProHArt-HUCFF), primeiro Centro de Excelência em Hipertensão Arterial no Brasil, título conferido pela Sociedade Européia de Hipertensão (ESH) em 2011. É responsável pelo setor de Monitorização Ambulatorial da Pressão Arterial - MAPA e Monitorização Residencial da Pressão Arterial - MRPA do ProHArt-HUCFF. É credenciada como Docente Permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Clínica Médica da UFRJ (CAPES-nota 7). Docente colaboradora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Odontologia IDOMED/Estácio e Docente colaboradora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Saúde da Família IDOMED/Estácio. Professora titular do Curso de Medicina do IDOMED/ Universidade Estácio de Sá, onde leciona na disciplina de Clínica Médica e é coordenadora do Estudo LapARC (Estudo de Avaliação de Risco Cardiovascular em adultos jovens moradores da Lapa), projeto de Extensão e Iniciação Científica envolvendo alunos do Curso de Medicina do IDOMED/Estácio, Campus Vista Carioca e do CuidArt Estudo da eficácia das intervenções não farmacológicas no controle da hipertensão arterial e na redução do risco cardiovascular - ensaio clínico randomizado. É membro do Conselho Consultivo para América Latina da International Society of Hypertension (ISH). Membro da European Society of Hypertension (ESH), da Inter-American Society of Hypertension (IASH) e das Sociedades Brasileiras de Cardiologia (SBC) e de Hipertensão (SBH). Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com ênfase em Clínica Médica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Hipertensão Arterial, Hipertensão Arterial Resistente, MAPA, MRPA, Risco Cardiovascular e Apneia do Sono. Foi Bolsista da FAPERJ - Jovem Cientista do Nosso Estado de 2010 a 2015 (dois períodos). Tem Bolsa de Produtividade em Pesquisa CNPq Nível I-B desde 2011. Bolsista do Programa Pesquisa Produtividade da Universidade Estácio de Sá de 2016-2020. Está incluída na lista dos Latin America Top 10.000 Scientists at AD Scientific Index 2021, sendo uma das 323 listadas na UFRJ e uma da 6 listadas na UNESA.

Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1983), Master in Medicine (Cardiology) from UFRJ (1988) and PhD in Internal Medicine from UFRJ (2005). She was Director of the Research Division of Hospital Universitário Clementino Fraga Filho (HUCFF-UFRJ) from July 2018 to March 2020. Physician at the Internal Medicine Service at HUCFF, coordinator of the Resistant Arterial Hypertension Program (ProHARt-HUCFF), first Center of Excellence in Arterial Hypertension in Brazil, title conferred by the European Society of Hypertension (ESH) in 2011. He is responsible for the Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring sector - ABPM and Residential Blood Pressure Monitoring - MRPA of ProHARt-HUCFF. She is accredited as a Permanent Professor of the Graduate Program in Internal Medicine at UFRJ (CAPES-grade 7). Professor of the Medicine Course at IDOEMD/ Estácio de Sá, where she teaches in Internal Medicine and is coordinator of the LapARC Study (Cardiovascular Risk Assessment Study in young adults living in Lapa), an Extension and Scientific Initiation project involving students of the Course of Medicine at IDOMEE/Estácio, Campus Vista Carioca and CuidArt Study of the effectiveness of non-pharmacological interventions in the control of arterial hypertension and in the reduction of cardiovascular risk - randomized clinical trial. She is a member of the Americas Regional Advisory Group (RAG) da International Society of Hypertension (ISH). Member of European Society of Hypertension (ESH), the Inter-American Society of Hypertension (IASH) and the Brazilian Societies of Cardiology (SBC) and Hypertension (SBH). She has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Internal Medicine, working mainly on the following topics: Arterial Hypertension, Resistant Arterial Hypertension, ABPM, MRPA, Cardiovascular Risk and Sleep Apnea. She was a FAPERJ Scholarship-Jovem Cientista do Nosso Estado from 2010 to 2015 (two terms). She has a CNPq Level I-B Research Productivity Scholarship since 2011. She is included in the list of Latin America Top 10,000 Scientists at AD Scientific Index 2021, being one of the 323 listed by the UFRJ and one of the 6 listed by the UNESA.
