Sâmia Alves Carvalho

A professora Dra. Sâmia Alves Carvalho é licenciada em Letras - Português e Inglês pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1994), tem especialização em Literatura Estrangeira Moderna (Inglês) pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (1996), possui mestrado em Linguística Aplicada (1999) e doutorado em Linguística Aplicada pela Universidade Estadual do Ceará (2016). Atualmente (2021) é professora efetiva do Magistério - Ensino Básico, Técnico e Tecnológico da Universidade Federal do Ceará lotada na Casa de Cultura Britânica (UFC). A professora também atua como professora Conteudista do Curso de Licenciatura em Língua Inglesa Modalidade a Distância do Instituto UFC Virtual (Universidade Federal do Ceará). Tem experiência na área de Ensino de Língua Estrangeira, com ênfase em Métodos e Técnicas de Ensino, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Elaboração de material didático virtual, Multimodalidade e Ensino de Inglês, letramento visual crítico, uso da tradução intersemiótica no ensino de inglês como LE e Formação de Professores de LE. A professora é atualmente (2021) coordena o Curso de Licenciatura em Letras: Língua Inglesa e suas Literaturas (modalidade à distância) da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Atua no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos da Tradução (POET) e no Curso de Especialização em Linguística Aplicada e Ensino de Língua Estrangeira (CELEST). A professora também atua no GEECALL - grupo de estudos e pesquisa em CALL (computer assisted Language Learning - aprendizagem mediada por computador).

Professor Sâmia Alves Carvalho has a degree in Languages- Portuguese and English from the Federal University of Ceará (1994), She also has a specialization course in Modern Foreign Literature (English) from the Federal University of Ceará (1996), a master's degree in Applied Linguistics (1999) and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the State University of Ceará (2016). Currently (2021) she is a full professor at the Department of Education - Basic, Technical and Technological Education at the Federal University of Ceará, located at the British Culture House (UFC). The teacher also acts as a contentist teacher in the Distance English Language Course at the UFC Virtual Institute (Federal University of Ceará). She has experience in the area of ​​Foreign Language Teaching, with emphasis on Teaching Methods and Techniques, acting mainly on the following themes: online material writing, Multimodality and Teaching English, Critical visual literacy, Use of intersemiotic translation in teaching English and Teacher Training. The professor is currently (2021) coordinator of a graduation course in Languages: English Language and Literature (Distance Education) at the Federal University of Ceará. She works in the Postgraduate Program - Translation Studies (POET) and in the Specialization Course in Applied Linguistics and Foreign Language Teaching (CELEST). The professor also works at GEECALL - group of studies and researches in CALL (Computer Assistant Language Learning).
