Allan Wine Santos Barbosa

Bacharel em ciências sociais, com ênfase em antropologia, e mestre em antropologia social pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos. Atualmente é doutorando em Antropologia Social na mesma instituição e membro do Núcleo de Estudos da Hierarquia e Valor (NEHV). Possui experiência na área de antropologia da religião, enfocando questões sobre a noção de pessoa, sacrifício, dádiva, filantropia e circulação. Realizou pesquisa sobre a construção da pessoa e salvação na Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia e sobre a circulação de dádivas, reciprocidade e hierarquia no espiritismo kardecista. Atualmente pesquisa as dinâmicas econômicas e ideológicas presentes na filantropia religiosa através de uma perspectiva comparativa.

I have a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, with emphasis in anthropology, and a master's degree in social anthropology from the Federal University of São Carlos. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in Social Anthropology at the same institution and a member of the Hierarchy and Value Studies Center (NEHV). My research experience is in the field of anthropology of religion, focusing on questions about the notion of person, sacrifice, gift, philanthropy and circulation. I conducted research on the notions of person and salvation in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and on the circulation of gifts, reciprocity, and hierarchy in Kardecist spiritualism. My current research interest encompasses the economic and ideological dynamics present in religious philanthropy through a comparative perspective.
