Rômulo Dante Orrico Filho

Engenheiro Civil (UFBA), M.Sc. em Engenharia de Produção (COPPE/UFRJ) e Dr.Ing. em Urbanisme et Aménagement du Territoire pela Universidade de Paris. Professor dos cursos de pós-graduação em Engenharia de Transportes da COPPE da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro com ênfase em pesquisa em transporte público, atuando principalmente no planejamento, economia e regulamentação de redes de transportes. Membro titular do Conselho Técnico-Científico da Educação Superior, CTC-ES da CAPES e Coordenador da Área Engenharias 1 da CAPES. Representante Titular da Área de Engenharia de Transportes no Comitê de Assessoramento do CNPq, entre 2013 e 2016. Foi Secretário de Estado de Administração do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2002) e Subsecretário Municipal de Transporte do Rio de Janeiro (2009-2011) tendo, dentre outras responsabilidades, a concepção de implantação do BRS na cidade do Rio, o sistema de Bilhete Único e a reorganização dos sistemas de transporte complementar.

Full Professor of the Transport Engineering Program at The Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering (COPPE) at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Background in civil engineering, with MSc on Production Engineering and PhD degree on urban development planning from the Institut d?Urbanisme de Paris. Since 1979 he is member of the Transport Program at Coppe/UFRJ. Orrico?s principal research interests are in the field of public transport, mainly in the planning, economy and regulation of transport networks. Besides his activities at the Graduate Curses, he is a full member of the Technical and Scientific Council of Higher Education, CAPES CTC-ES and Coordinator of the Civil Engineering Area of CAPES. Orrico was the Representative of the Transport Engineering at the CNPq Advisory Committee, between 2013 and 2016. He was Secretary of State for Administration of the State of Rio de Janeiro (2002) and Deputy Municipal Secretary of Transportation of Rio de Janeiro (2009-2011). Among other responsibilities was the conception of BRS implementation in the city of Rio, And the reorganization of complementary transport systems.
