Andrea Baltazar

A Profa. Dra. Andréa Baltazar atua no momento como professora (remota e presencial), orientadora de TCC, analista didata e etnopsicanslista desde 2018 junto ao Instituto Paulista de Psicanálise, IPP, em Campinas-SP. Foi professora formadora, orientadora de TCC e tutora durante curso de educação à distância e presencial, promovido pela Universida Federal de Ouro Preto, UFOP, MG, em parceria pelo MEC/UFOP/SEEMG, Especialização em Educação na Cultura Digital de 2014 a 2016. Foi professora e pesquisadora colaboradora durante o período de pós-doutoramento em Sociologia da Cultura na Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Unicamp, IFCH, Departamento de Sociologia, com bolsa Fapesp entre 2006 e 2010. Neste período também lecionou como professora convidada na graduação do curso de ciências sociais. Obteve o doutorado em Ciência Social (Antropologia Social) pela Universidade de São Paulo, USP (2003), periodo em que também deu aulas como estagiária na graduação do curso de ciências sociais, departamento de antropologia, FFLCH. Concluiu especialização no NEPO, Unicamp (1993/94) e a graduação em Comunicação Social pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1992). Foi coordenadora e professora substituta do departamento de redação do Prevê Objetivo em Bauru durante curso graduação.Tem experiência de pesquisa na área de antropologia e de ciências da comunicação, com ênfase em antropologia cultural/antropologia rural, antropologia da comunicação e em sociologia da comunicação e cultura, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: cultura camponesa, mito e magia, magia e religião, cultura da intimidade, cultura popular (urbana e rural), eficácia simbólica, teorias da comunicação, pesquisa de campo e metodologia de pesquisa em antropologia urbana e rural, ficção televisiva e telenovela brasileira.Possui experiência de pesquisa e ensino em antropologia clássica, antropologia rural, antropologia da saúde, antropologia psicológica, antropologia e sociologia da comunicação. Recentemente desenvolve investigações independentes na área de antropologia da comunicação e "cultura digital".

MS. ANDREA BALTAZAR got her PH.D. in Social Anthropology by the University of São Paulo, USP, in São Paulo city SP Brazil, in October 10th 2003. She wrote a thesis named: Peasant Culture and Television. The Vision of the Self and the Image of the Other through the Brazilian television fiction, after 5 years of field-research in the Pantanal of Mato Grosso (Southern Amazon) and in the Amazon. Nowadays she is a Post-doctoral Fellow, Researcher and Entry-Level Professor, at the Human Sciences Institute, IFCH, of the State University of Campinas, UNICAMP in Campinas, SP, Brazil. Her current research-project is on Media in Contemporary Brazilian Popular Culture.She also has a Bachelors Degree, BA, in Applied Social Sciences, meaning Sciences of Communication, from São Paulo State University, UNESP, Bauru SP Brazil. The 4 years long course was concluded in December 1992 and the name of her monography is: Peasant Culture, Integration and Resistance: a Walk in the Fields of the Traditional Small Farmers from a small and countryside city, Brotas (monographic), SP, Brazil.As a personal skill, her mentors also use to mention the ability and commitment in mentoring young and beginning students of anthropology with the fieldwork experience. In addition, it is worth mentioning her accurate visual perception, due to her training in visual anthropology, ethnographic photography and video.Her areas of specialization are Socio-Cultural Anthropology, Rural Anthropology (Brazilian Peasant and Indigenous Ethnography), Visual Anthropology, Anthropology of the Image, Sociology and Anthropology of Media, Applied Anthropology, Video and Photography in Anthropological Research and Methodology of Fieldwork. Her experience in the non-academic jobs is worth mentioning the two she performed in the social areas of the Brazilian Government: anthropologist consultant of FUNAI (Indigenous People National Foundation) for legal identification and establishing of indigenous land (Mura ethnic group) in the Amazon Forest, Amazonia, Brazil (from May to September 2008); and anthropologist consultant of ITESP (Land Institute of Sao Paulo State) for identification and establishing of Afro-Brazilian people (slavers descendants named quilombolas) in their ancient rural areas in the São Paulo countryside, Brazil (from September 1998 to February 1999).
