MARCIA LAUDELINA ARRUDA TEMPERINI

Marcia L. A. Temperini obtained her Bachelor degree in Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (1971), Master?s degree (Physical-Chemistry) at the University of São Paulo (1974) and Ph.D. (Physical-Chemistry) at the University of São Paulo (1977). Currently she is full professor at the University of São Paulo. She has expertise in Chemistry with emphasis in Physical-Chemistry, acting mostly in the Vibrational Spectroscopy field. She has been using SERS spectroscopy on the understanding of the molecular adsorption processes on metallic surfaces and the behavior of Single Molecule near nanostructures. She is also interested in the spectroscopic characterization of conducting polymers, studing the morphology/structure relation.

Possui graduação em Bacharel Em Quimica pela Universidade de São Paulo (1971), mestrado em Química (Físico-Química) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1974) e doutorado em Química (Físico-Química) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1977). Desde 2002 é professor titular da Universidade de São Paulo.Atua principalmente no campo da Espectroscopia Vibracional. Utiliza a espectroscopia SERS para entendimento do processo de adsorção molecular em superfícies metálicas, estuda o comportamento SERS de e´pécies moleculares em regime de uma única molécula. No campo de polímeros condutores estuda a relação estrutura-morfologia através de várias ttécnicas , principalmente a espectroscopia Raman ressonante.
