Tiago Mathyas Ferrador

I am PhD in Philosophy at Universidade de São Paulo (2018), in the area of Philosophy of Sciences, Logic and Philosophy of Language. I accomplished a doctoral internship in University of Miami (2017) by the academic advsing of professor Dr. Otávio Bueno. I obtained the Master degree (MA) in Philosophy at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2013), in the area of Epistemology and Logic. I graduated (BA) in Philosophy at Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2021) and in Social Sciences at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2008). I have published 3 books chapters and 13 works in annals of events. I participated in 14 national and regional events in Brazil and 3 international events, presenting communications and mini-courses, and coordinating roundtables. I work in the areas of Philosophy and Sociology, as researcher and professor, with emphasis in Philosophy of Science, Epistemology, Logic, Philosophy of Social Sciences and Sociology of Science. I have worked mainly on the following themes: constructive, structural, contextual, social empiricism and the relationship of these empiricisms with current social theory. With emphasis on the following authors: Bas van Fraassen, Karl Popper, Helen Longino, Miriam Solomon, Mario Bunge, Hugh Lacey, Larry Laudan and Max Weber.

Tenho doutorado em Filosofia pela USP (2018) na área de Lógica, Filosofia da Linguagem e Filosofia das Ciências. Realizei estágio doutoral (com bolsa PDSE-CAPES) na University of Miami (2017). Concluí o mestrado em Filosofia pela UFSC (2013) na área de Epistemologia e Lógica. Graduei-me em Filosofia (Licenciatura) pela UFPel (2021) e em Ciências Sociais (Bacharelado) pela UFSC (2008). No momento, atuo como professor (no Ensino Fundamental II e Médio) e pesquisador de Filosofia, nas áreas de Filosofia da Ciência, Epistemologia, Lógica e Filosofia das Ciências Sociais. Tenho pesquisado especialmente os seguintes temas: empirismo construtivo, estrutural, contextual, social e a relação destes com a teoria social contemporânea. Com ênfase nos seguintes autores e autoras: Bas van Fraassen, Karl Popper, Helen Longino, Miriam Solomon, Mario Bunge, Hugh Lacey, Larry Laudan e Max Weber.
