She has a degree in Physical Education from the State University of Campinas (2008), Master in Physical Education - field of Physical Education and Society (2011) and PhD in Education from the same institution (2016). Professor of the Physical Education undergraduate course at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa. She was a professor of the Degree in Physical Education and of the Master's Programme in Physical Education of the Instituto Superior de Educación Física, of the Universidad de la República, Uruguay. She is a Level 1 associate reseacher at the National Agency for Research and Innovation, Uruguay. Her research focuses on the history of education and physical education from regional perspectives and the history of German gymnastics and immigration in South American countries in the first decades of the 20th century. She received a Fapesp scholarship for her master's and doctorate and was also awarded a BEPE/Fapesp scholarship for a research internship at the Westfälische-Wilhelms Universität Münster/Germany in 2013. She is a member of the Joe Arbena Latin-American Sports History Grant Committee of the North American Society for Sport History (NASSH) and a council member of the International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport. She is associated to the British Philosophy of Sport Association (BPSA) and the International Association for the Philosophy of Sports (IAPS)
É formada em Educação Física pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2008), mestre em Educação Física - área de concentração Educação Física e Sociedade, pela mesma instituição (2011) e doutora em Educação pela Unicamp (2016). Docente do curso de Graduação em Educação Física da Universidade Federal de Viçosa. Foi docente da Licenciatura em Educação Física e do Programa de Mestrado em Educação Física do Instituto Superior de Educación Física, da Universidad de la República, Uruguai. É pesquisadora associada Nível 1 do Sistema Nacional de Investigadores da Agencia Nacional de Investigación e Innovación (SNI/ANII), Uruguai. Dedica-se a pesquisas relacionadas à história da educação e da educação física, a partir de perspectivas regionais e à história da ginástica alemã e da imigração nas primeiras décadas do século XX em países latino-americanos. Recebeu bolsa Fapesp no mestrado e no doutorado, tendo sido também contemplada com bolsa BEPE/Fapesp para realização de estágio de pesquisa junto à Westfälische-Wilhelms Universität Münster/Alemanha, no ano de 2013. Integra o Joe Arbena Latin-American Sport History Grant Committee, da North American Society for Sport History (NASSH) e o conselho da International Society for the History of Physical Education and Sport.
