Amanda dos Santos Carteado Silva

Master in Environment, Water and Sanitation from the Federal University of Bahia (2017), from which she also graduated in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (2013). Specialist in Health and Environmental Sanitation (2020) from the Federal University of Goiás. She is currently a local coordinator of Cáritas Brasileira Regional Nordeste 3, within the scope of the Global Program with Traditional Communities in Latin America and socio-environmental advisor at Agência 10envolvimento, responsible for actions with Traditional Peoples and Communities of the Cerrado of Bahia, in the fight against Environmental Racism, incidence in socio-environmental public policies, preservation of the Cerrado biome and sustainable water management. It is part of the Race and Sanitation Study and Research Group - OMOILÊ at UFBA in partnership with ONDAS - National Water and Sanitation Observatory. She is a full member of the Rio Grande River Basins Committee, in which she coordinated the Technical Chamber of Plans, Programs and Projects (2018 - 2022), and serves as an alternate member of the State Council for the Environment - CEPRAM - BA. From 2014 to 2018, she served as a regional technical advisor at Cáritas Brasileira Regional NE3, in the line of Solidarity and Sustainable Territorial Development with communities in the states of Bahia and Sergipe. He was a member of the Basic Sanitation Observatory of Bahia, representing Cáritas. Accompanied recyclable material collectors for 4 years and contributed to the construction of discussion spaces on solid waste management in the municipality of Barreiras-BA. She was a counselor at the Food and Nutritional Security Council of the State of Bahia (2014 - 2018), at the Interinstitutional Commission for Environmental Education (CIEA/BA), at the Municipal Council for the Environment, in addition to having experience in organizing spaces for discussion on the Environment. Mestra em Meio Ambiente, Água e Saneamento pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2017), pela qual também foi graduada em Engenharia Sanitária e Ambiental(2013). Especialista em Saúde e Saneamento Ambiental (2020) pela Universidade Federal de Goiás. Atualmente é articuladora local da Cáritas Brasileira Regional Nordeste 3, no âmbito do Programa Global com Comunidades Tradicionais na América Latina e assessora socioambiental na Agência 10envolvimento, responsável por ações junto à Povos e Comunidades Tradicionais do Cerrado baiano, no combate ao Racismo Ambiental, incidência em políticas públicas socioambientais, preservação do bioma Cerrado e gestão sustentável das águas. Compõe o Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa Raça e Saneamento - OMOILÊ da UFBA em parceria com o ONDAS - Observatório Nacional de Águas e Saneamento. Está como membro titular do Comitê de Bacias Hidrográfica do Rio Grande, no qual coordenou a Câmara Técnica de Planos, Programas e Projetos (2018 - 2022), atua como Conselheira suplente no Conselho Estadual do Meio Ambiente - CEPRAM - BA. Atuou de 2014 a 2018 como assessora técnica regional na Cáritas Brasileira Regional NE3, na linha de Desenvolvimento Territorial Solidário e Sustentável junto à comunidades nos estados da Bahia e Sergipe. Compôs o Observatório de Saneamento Básico da Bahia, representando a Cáritas. Acompanhou por 4 anos catadores de materiais recicláveis e contribuiu na construção de espaços de discussão sobre o gerenciamento dos resíduos sólidos no município de Barreiras-BA. Foi conselheira no Conselho de Segurança Alimentar e Nutricional do Estado da Bahia (2014 - 2018), na Comissão Interinstitucional de Educação Ambiental(CIEA/BA), do Conselho Municipal de Meio Ambiente, além de ter experiência em organização de espaços de discussão sobre Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade, Etnia e Gênero, como seminários, semanas de Meio Ambiente.
