Felipe Luiz Pereira

Bacharel (2007) em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade do Vale do Itajaí (Univali), mestre (2015) e doutor (2019) em Bioinformática pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Atualmente realiza pós-doutorado no Grinberg Lab, do Memory and Aging Center da Universidade da Califórnia San Francisco e estuda a vulnerabilidade seletiva de subpopulações neuronais durante a progressão da doença de Alzheimer. É membro do corpo editorial dos periódicos "Frontiers in Microbiology", "Frontiers in Genetics" e "Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution" e consultor do periódico "Frontiers in Genomic Plant Science". Tem experiência na área de Bioinformática e de Desenvolvimento de Sistemas. Já atuou como Professor-Substituto no Instituto Federal Catarinense e como Professor no Centro Universitário Avantis. Foi Gerente de Tecnologia da Informação e Bioinformata no Laboratório Oficial Central (AQUACEN-Saúde Animal) do Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (2013-2018); Coordenador-Geral de Controle da Pesca (2012-2013) e Assessor da Direção de Registros da Pesca e Aquicultura (2010-2011) no extinto Ministério da Pesca e Aquicultura; Coordenador de Desenvolvimento de Sistemas no Laboratório de Computação Aplicada (2006-2009); e Professor-Substituto no Curso Superior de Sistemas para Internet na Univali (2009).

Nowadays, is a postdoctoral fellow at Grinberg?s lab in the Memory and Aging Center at the University of California San Francisco, where develops studies about selectively vulnerable of sub neuronal populations during Alzheimer?s disease progression. Is a member of the editorial board of the journals "Frontiers in Microbiology", "Frontiers in Genetics" and "Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution" and consultant of the journal "Frontiers in Genomic Plant Science". Has experience in Bioinformatics and Systems Development. Was Professor at the Instituto Federal Catarinense, a Federal Institute, and at the University Center Avantis. Was CIO and Bioinformatics at the Central Official Laboratory (AQUACEN-Animal Health) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (2013-2018); General Coordinator of Fisheries Control (2012-2013) and Advisor to the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture Records (2010-2011) at the former Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture; Systems Development Coordinator at the Applied Computing Laboratory (2006-2009); and Substitute Professor at the Internet Systems course at Univali (2009).
