Eu sou Professor Adjunto de História Medieval e Ensino de História Medieval da Universidade de Pernambuco (UPE/Mata Norte, Licenciaturas Presencial e EAD) e Professor Permanente do Mestrado Profissional em Ensino de História (ProfHistória) da Universidade de Pernambuco; também atuo como Professor Colaborador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em História da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em História da Universidade Federal do Amapá. Sou Doutor em História Social pela Universidade de São Paulo (2013-2017) e Mestre em História pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (2011-2013). Eu integro o LATHIMM - Laboratório de Teoria e História das Mídias Medievais (USP), o Leitorado Antiguo - Laboratório de Ensino e Pesquisa em História Antiga e Medieval - (UPE), a SIEN - Sociedade Iberoamericana de Estudos Nórdicos - por meio do grupo de pesquisa Leituras da Escandinávia Medieval (UEL) e o Linhas - Núcleo de Estudos sobre Narrativas e Medievalismos (UFRRJ). Ademais, sou sócio da Sociedad Argentina de Estudios Medievales (SAEMED) desde 2016.
Pesquiso os seguintes temas: Usos do passado, Era Viking/Escandinávia Medieval, Medievalismo, Educação 4.0, Humanidades Digitais, História Digital e Produção de Material Didático Digital.
I am Assistant Professor of Medieval History at University of Pernambuco (Northeastern coast of Brazil), a permanent professor of the MA in Teaching History at University of Pernambuco; I'm also a permanent professor at MA and PhD Program in History at Federal University of Pernambuco. I got my PhD in History at University of São Paulo (2013-2017), MA in History at Federal University at Niterói (2011-2013), and Bachelor in History at Federal University of Espírito Santo (2006-2009). I am also a member of the following research groups: LATHIMM - Lab for Theory and History of Medieval Medias (University of São Paulo), Leitorado Antiguo - Lab for Teaching Ancient History (State University of Pernambuco), ISNE - Iberoamerican Society for Nordic Studies - and Linhas - Research Group on Narratives and Medievalisms (Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro).
I'm current working in the following topics: sociocultural interactions in Northern Medieval Europe, Medieval Hagiography, Northern Crusades, Viking raids, History of Scandinavia (Viking Age and Middle Ages), formation of scandinavian monarchies, christianization of Northern Europe, topographies of power, food history, uses of the past, and conversion and christianisation in many contets. My sources are hagiographic works, the icelandic sagas, the archaeological evidences, the skaldic poetry, and the imagetic and topographical sources.
