Matheus Cássio Blach

Matheus C. Blach is a Historian, holding a Master's degree in Built Environment and Sustainable Heritage from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2017) and a degree in History from UNA University Center (2011).He has extensive experience in the field of History and Cultural Heritage, having conducted technical, research, and consultancy work in over 40 Brazilian cities, involving dossiers, inventories, expert opinions, reports, mappings, documentaries, among others. Additionally, he has experience in conducting courses, lectures, and various workshops.Among his affiliations, he was a member of the Brazilian Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS/BRAZIL) from 2017 to 2019; part of the editorial team of the "Fórum Patrimônio: ambiente construído e patrimônio sustentável" journal (UFMG) from 2015 to 2019; and a member of the Institute of Sustainable Development Studies (IEDS) between 2015 and 2019.He has a significant academic production, including 10 articles in specialized journals, 4 papers in conference proceedings, 2 book chapters, and 3 published books.Among the 5 awards he has received, noteworthy are the "Academic Excellence Award from UNA University Center" for his work "Power Relations and Sociability in the City of Tiradentes, Minas Gerais" in 2009, and the "Golden Portal UNA" award for obtaining the highest overall approval average in the History course, graduating with honors, in 2011.Currently, Matheus C. Blach works as a historian at the National Institute of Historic and Artistic Heritage (Iphan) in Minas Gerais. He is involved in technical, educational, and research activities in History and Cultural Heritage, with a focus on studies related to culture and cities, preservation of cultural assets, urban history, sustainable development, natural heritage, gentrification, memory, and identity.

Matheus C. Blach é Historiador, com mestrado em Ambiente Construído e Patrimônio Sustentável pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2017) e graduação em História pelo centro Universitário UNA (2011).Possui extensa experiência na área de História e Patrimônio Cultural, realizou trabalhos técnicos, de pesquisa e de consultoria em mais de 40 cidades brasileiras, envolvendo dossiês, inventários, pareceres, relatórios, mapeamentos, documentário, entre outros. Além disso, possui experiência ministrando cursos, palestras e oficinas diversas. Entre suas participações em organizações, foi membro do Comitê Brasileiro do Conselho Internacional de Monumentos e Sítios (ICOMOS/BRASIL) de 2017 a 2019; fez parte da equipe editorial da Revista Fórum Patrimônio: ambiente construído e patrimônio sustentável (UFMG) de 2015 a 2019; e foi membro do Instituto de Estudos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável (IEDS) entre 2015 e 2019. Possui uma significativa produção acadêmica, incluindo 10 artigos em periódicos especializados, 4 trabalhos em anais de eventos, 2 capítulos de livros e 3 livros publicados. Dentre 5 prêmios recebidos destacam-se o prêmio Destaque Acadêmico do Centro Universitário UNA pelo trabalho "Relações de Poder e Sociabilidade na Cidade de Tiradentes, Minas Gerais" em 2009, e o prêmio "Portal de Ouro UNA" por ter obtido a melhor média geral de aprovação no curso de História, graduando-se com louvor, em 2011.Atualmente, Matheus C. Blach é historiador no Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (Iphan) em Minas Gerais. Atua nas áreas técnica, de ensino e de pesquisa em História e Patrimônio Cultural, com foco nos estudos sobre cultura e cidades, conservação de bens culturais, história das cidades, desenvolvimento sustentável, patrimônio natural, gentrificação, memória e identidade.
