Maiara Nascimento de Lima

Graduada em Ciências Biológicas modalidade Biotecnologia pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, 2016). Realizou mestrado e doutorado em Biologia Celular e Molecular no Instituto Oswaldo Cruz (IOC), Fiocruz (2018, 2022) e foi bolsista FAPERJ nota 10. Atualmente é bolsista de Pós-doutorado Júnior do CNPq e trabalha com o estudo do papel da ferroptose na malária cerebral experimental e o efeito de terapias antioxidantes no Laboratório de Imunofarmacologia do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz. Tem experiência na área de células-tronco e neurociências, com ênfase em regeneração e dano cognitivo.

She graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences modality Biotechnology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, 2016). He held a master's degree and a doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (IOC), Fiocruz (2018, 2022) and was a FAPERJ scholarship holder grade 10. He is currently a CNPq Junior Postdoctoral fellow and works with the study of the role of ferroptosis in experimental cerebral malaria and the effect of antioxidant therapies at the Immunopharmacology Laboratory of Instituto Oswaldo Cruz. She has a background in stem cells and neuroscience, emphasising regeneration and cognitive impairment.
