Guilherme Imbiriba Guerreiro Neto

Doutor em Ciências: Desenvolvimento Socioambiental pelo Núcleo de Altos Estudos Amazônicos da Universidade Federal do Pará (NAEA/UFPA). Mestre em Jornalismo pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Jornalista formado pela Universidade da Amazônia (Unama). Especialista em Jornalismo Literário pela Academia Brasileira de Jornalismo Literário (ABJL) e em Jornalismo Político pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP). Foi professor dos cursos de Comunicação da Unama, de 2017 a 2018, e da Faculdade de Comunicação da UFPA, de 2014 a 2016, além de chefe de reportagem do jornal-laboratório Primeiras Linhas da Facom/UFPA. Foi repórter no projeto Truco Eleições, de 2016 e 2018, parceria entre o portal Outros400 (PA) e a Agência Pública (SP), e no projeto Amazônia Sufocada, de 2020, do site InfoAmazonia (SP) com o apoio do Rainforest Journalism Fund, em parceria com o Pulitzer Center. O projeto Engolindo Fumaça, de 2021, do site InfoAmazonia, em que também atuou como repórter, venceu o Prêmio Internacional de Jornalismo Rei da Espanha e o Prêmio Cláudio Weber Abramo de Jornalismo de Dados. Tem interesse em estudos sobre Amazônia e colonialidades, narrativas de povos amazônicos, comunicação e resistência, teorias do Jornalismo.

PhD in Sciences: Socio-environmental Development by the Center for Advanced Amazon Studies at the Federal University of Pará (NAEA/UFPA). Master in Journalism from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Journalist graduated from the University of the Amazon (Unama). Specialist in Literary Journalism from the Brazilian Academy of Literary Journalism (ABJL) and in Political Journalism from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). He was professor of the Communication courses at Unama, from 2017 to 2018, and at the Faculty of Communication at UFPA, from 2014 to 2016, as well as head of reporting at the laboratory-journal Primeiras Linhas at Facom / UFPA. He was a reporter on the Truco Eleições project, from 2016 and 2018, a partnership between the portal Outro400 (PA) and Agência Pública (SP), and on the Amazônia Sufocada project, from 2020, on the InfoAmazonia website (SP) with the support of the Rainforest Journalism Fund, in partnership with the Pulitzer Center. The 2021 Engolindo Fumaça project by the InfoAmazonia website, in which he also served as a reporter, won the King of Spain International Journalism Award and the Cláudio Weber Abramo Data Journalism Award. He is interested in studies about the Amazon and colonialities, narratives of Amazonian peoples, communication and resistance, theories of Journalism.
