Natália Carolina de Oliveira Vaz

I have a broad academic background with knowledge in the fields of Humanities and Applied Social Sciences. I obtained a PhD in Geography in 2022 from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). Currently, I work as a researcher in the Cultural Spatialities group and the Paraná Research Center for Religion (NUPPER), both affiliated with the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and registered with the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). I am a member of the Brazilian Geographers Association (AGB) and the American Association of Geographers (AAG), participating in affinity groups specializing in Biblical Geography and the Geography of Religions and Belief Systems. I have expertise in research exploring the geographical dynamics of religious practices, especially in the context of pilgrimage. My area of expertise involves analyzing the relationships between society, culture, and geographic space, with a focus on the impacts of tourism and religion on the configuration of places. Additionally, I am dedicated to social and cultural studies, investigating the relationship between religion, society, and culture in different historical and geographical contexts. My goal is to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of social and cultural dynamics. Furthermore, I have over ten years of legal and administrative experience at the national and international levels.

Possui formação acadêmica ampla, nas áreas de Ciências Humanas e Ciências Sociais Aplicadas. Obteve doutorado em Geografia em 2022 pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR). Atualmente, atua como pesquisadora no grupo de Espacialidades da Cultura e no Núcleo Paranaense de Pesquisa em Religião (NUPPER), ambos vinculados a Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) e registrados no Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). É membro da Associação dos Geógrafos Brasileiros (AGB) e da da Associação Americana de Geógrafos (AAG) participando de grupos de afinidade com especialidade em Geografia Bíblica e em Geografia das Religiões e Sistemas de Crenças. Possui expertise em pesquisas que exploram as dinâmicas geográficas das práticas religiosas, especialmente no contexto de peregrinação. A área de atuação envolve a análise das relações entre sociedade, cultura e espaço geográfico, com foco nos impactos do turismo e da religião na configuração dos lugares. Adicionalmente, dedica-se aos estudos sociais e culturais, investigando a relação entre religião, sociedade e cultura em diferentes contextos históricos e geográficos. Tem o objetivo é contribuir para uma compreensão mais abrangente das dinâmicas sociais e culturais. Paralelamente, possui mais de dez anos de experiencia jurídica e administrativa no âmbito nacional e internacional.
