Larissa Mendes Bomfim

I hold a PhD in Biotechnology and Investigative Medicine from Fiocruz/BA, where I currently carry out my activities. Through the PRINT program, sponsored by CAPES, I completed a six-month sandwich PhD (2022) at the University of Birmingham, UK, as a Visiting Doctoral Researcher. During this period, I gained experience in studying the role and regulation of autophagy in neurodegenerative diseases and physiology. I also have a degree in Biotechnology (2016) and a Master's degree in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Bahia (2011). Additionally, I have experience in Experimental Oncology, with a focus on pharmacological and toxicological clinical studies of natural/synthetic products with potential antineoplastic activity.

Sou Doutora em Biotecnologia e Medicina Investigativa pela Fiocruz/BA, onde desenvolvo minhas atividades. Através do programa PRINT, patrocinado pela CAPES, realizei o doutorado sanduíche por 6 meses (2022) na University of Birmingham, UK, como Visiting Doctoral Researcher. Durante este período tive experiência no estudo do papel e regulação da autofagia na fisiologia e doenças neurodegenerativas. Possuo graduação em Biotecnologia (2016) e Mestrado em Farmácia pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2011). Possuo experiência em Oncologia Experimental, com foco em estudos farmacológicos e toxicológicos clínicos de produtos naturais/sintéticos que apresentam potencial antineoplásico.
