Hans Carrillo Guach

Graduated in Sociology from the University of Havana, Cuba (title approved by the Federal University of Goiás-UFG). He holds a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Havana, Cuba (title approved by the University of Brasília-UnB) and a PhD in Social Sciences with an emphasis on Comparative Studies on the Americas, from the Department of Latin American Studies (ELA) of the University of Brasília (UnB ), Brazil. He held a postdoctoral at the School of High Studies on Global Inequality and Social Justice (PPG-FD / UnB and CAPES PrInt), promoted by the Latin American College of World Studies / FLACSO-Brasil. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences (FCS), at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG), Brazil, where he coordinates several research projects and integrates research groups such as the Nucleus of Studies and Research on Criminiality and Violence (NECRIVI ) and the Collective of Anthropology of Resistances and Environmental Ontologies (CAROÁ). In addition, he is part of the "Red Latinoamericana de Sistemas Sociales y Complejidad" (RELASSC). He is a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Sociology (PPGS) at UFG. He acts as Expert / Country in the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) project of the Department of Political Science, University of Gothenburg, Sweden and participates in other research projects with a focus on Latin America. His research themes are mainly associated with the areas of: Political and power sociology (with emphasis on Democratization and Autocratization processes); Comparative studies on political realities in Latin America; Contemporary Sociological Theory (focus on Norbert Elias' Figurational or Process Sociology and Niklas Luhmann's Systemic Theory) and Studies on African-inspired Religions.

Possui graduação em Sociologia pela Universidade de Havana, Cuba (diploma homologado pela Universidade Federal de Goiás-UFG). É Mestre em Sociologia pela Universidade de Havana, Cuba (diploma homologado pela Universidade de Brasília-UnB) e Doutor em Ciências Sociais com ênfase em Estudos Comparados sobre as Américas, pelo Departamento de Estudos Latino-americanos (ELA) da Universidade de Brasília (UnB), Brasil. Realizou estágio pós-doutoral na Escola de Altos Estudos Desigualdades Globais e Justiça Social (PPG-FD/UnB e CAPES PrInt), promovida pelo Colégio Latino-americano de Estudos Mundiais/FLACSO-Brasil. Atualmente é Professor Adjunto de Sociologia na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais (FCS), da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG), Brasil, onde coordena vários projetos de pesquisa e integra núcleos de pesquisa como o Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas sobre Criminialidad e Violência (NECRIVI) e o Coletivo de Antropologia das Resistências e Ontologias Ambientais (CAROÁ). Além disso, faz parte da "Red Latinoamericana de Sistemas Sociales y Complejidad" (RELASSC). É membro permanente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Sociologia (PPGS) da UFG. Atúa como Experto/País no projeto "Varieties of Democracy" (V-Dem) do Department of Political Science, University of Gothenburg, Suécia e participa em outros projetos de pesquisa com foco na América Latina. Seus temas de pesquisa estão principalmente associados às áreas de: Sociologia política e do poder (com ênfase em processos de Democratização e Autocratização); Estudos comparados sobre realidades políticas em América Latina; Teoria sociológica contemporânea (foco na Sociologia figuracional ou processual de Norbert Elias e na Teoria Sistêmica de Niklas Luhmann) e Estudos sobre sociedade, política e religiões africanas-afrodiaspóricas.
