Montie Alves Vitorino

Recebeu os títulos de Engenheiro Eletricista, Mestre e Doutor pela Universidade Federal de Campina Grande, em 2007, 2008 e 2012, respectivamente. Entre Julho 2011 e Junho 2012 participou do programa de doutorado sanduíche na Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, Virginia, nos Estados Unidos. Desde Outubro de 2013 vem exercendo o cargo de Professor Associado I de Engenharia Elétrica na Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG). Entre Outubro de 2012 e Setembro de 2013 exerceu a função de pesquisador na Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG) como parte do Programa de Pós-Doutorado Júnior do CNPq. Entre Novembro de 2012 e Setembro de 2013 exerceu o cargo de Professor Adjunto de Engenharia Elétrica na Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB). Em Março de 2017 foi elevado à categoria de Senior Member do IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). Suas áreas de interesse são aplicações de dispositivos eletrônicos de potência em sistemas fotovoltaicos, aquecimento indutivo, transferência de energia sem fio, semicondutores de wide-band-gap (GaN e SiC), conversores estáticos e redes inteligentes (smart grids).

Received the titles of Electrical Engineer, Master and Doctor by the Federal University of Campina Grande, in 2007, 2008 and 2012, respectively. Between July 2011 and June 2012 he participated in the sandwich doctorate program at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, Virginia, United States. Since October 2013 he has held the position of Adjunct Professor IV of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG). Between October 2012 and September 2013, he was a researcher at the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) as part of the CNPq Junior Postdoctoral Program. Between November 2012 and September 2013 he held the position of Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB). In March 2017 he was elevated to the Senior Member category of the IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). His areas of interest are applications of power electronic devices in photovoltaic systems, inductive heating, wireless energy transfer, wide-band-gap semiconductors (GaN and SiC), static converters and smart grids.
