Rogério Moraes de castilho

Graduate in Dentistry from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (1995), master's and Ph.D. in Dentistry (oral pathology) from Universidade de São Paulo (2003), and postdoctoral degree at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA. Currently, Dr. Castilho is a faculty at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry, Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine. Has experience in the field of oral pathology, cellular and molecular biology, as well as transgenic, knockout and conditional knockout animal models. Acting on the following subjects: head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, salivary gland tumors, and in the biology of the epithelium barrier including the skin and the oral mucosa.

Possui graduação em Odontologia pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (1995), mestrado e doutorado em Odontologia (Patologia Bucal) pela Universidade de São Paulo (2003), e pos-doutorado no National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research no National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland, USA (2009). Atualmente faz parte do corpo docente da Universidade de Michigan, Faculdade de Odontologia, Departamento de Periodontia e Medicina Oral. Tem experiência na área de patologia bucal, biologia celular e molecular e em modelos animais transgenicos, knockout e knockout condicionais. Atua nas areas de Carcinomas epidermoides de cabeca e pescoco, tumores das glandulas salivares, e na biologia do epitelio de revestimento incluindo a pele e a mucosa bucal.
